A baby moose can't do shit to a human Anyway even adults can be dealt with without killing them. I spent most of my life outside of Alaska. But I also used to live here in the 80s as a kid before I left for 30 years I have a memory of being in a tree fort in my backyard and a massive moose coming in the yard. I was trapped in the fort and my family was inside the house looking at me while some firemen came and got the moose to leave without hurting it But also these were military firefighters as we were living on a army base. That's exactly why. Can't a aggressive moose run free, grow up and become a real threat to the locals and probably end up killing people. IMO They should have tranquilized it and then tried to relocate it first before resorting to putting it down, but I don't know if they would have considered it worth the expense.
