I doubt it since that'd make him the 3rd cinematic Batman appearing concurrently with Pattinson and *The Flash SPOILERS* Michael Keaton according to rumors.

How though? One of the points of the original film seemed to be to show how disorienting having a mental illness like this is by intentionally making the audience unsure of what events actually occurred.

I feel like the first movie ended just before this concept wouldve snowballed too far and turned the story into an unintelligible mess. The only follow-ups I can see are going with the unintelligible mess or nailing down what actually happened in the first movie; either ruining the experience of the second movie or the intent of the first, respectively.

Theoretically speaking, they could also do a "sequel" that's really just a completely different origin story for The Joker, referencing his "multiple choice" past from The Killing Joke.

Second movie: Joker shenanigans as either Red Hood or getting involved with mafia and becoming top dog. Introduce Gordon as antagonist/protagonist.

Third movie: Joker finally confronted by the Batman in final act with build-up about some vigilante asshole taking down Joker's empire. Ends with Batman emerging questionably victorious. Maybe Joker escapes or at least gets to pine poetic one last time as we watch him locked up in Arkham as the cell door slams shut.

At least, that's how I imagine it should go. But you know...they'll probably fuck it up.

I say have thr whole move take place in Arkham Asylum. He kills and makes multiple escape attempts but fails. Gets closer with each attempt though. Gets more violent with each attempt. Then last quarter of the movie maybe fast forward to a time frame Bruce would be a legal adult. Harleen quinzel enters and he starts working on her. Movie ends with his successful escape. Or at least heavy foreshadowing that it's about to happen

I just want a straight-played Joker heist movie. They can Fight Club it up if they want with the mind-fucky mental illness angle but all I want is to see the Joker actually go out and commit some ridiculous crime.

I love that title, but I've got to say that as much as I love the first movie, I was kinda hoping there wouldn't be a second.

God, I'm really excited for this lol. Phoenix played Arthur so incredibly well, having an excellent live-action film incarnation of Joker reappear in a second film is something we haven't actually seen yet, have we? Unless you count Leto in the Snyder Cut lol.

Remember when twitter and a few "journalists" tried to claim the first movie was an "incel" movie and would inspire everyone to vote for trump in 2020 and the movie was soley responsible for all the world's woes?
