Absolute despair

I rewatched the first season of Made in Abyss and then watched the movie, Dawn of the Deep Soul, for the first time. I really love this series. The Abyss itself is endlessly interesting. I don't know if the author has answers to all the little details in there or if they're just thrown in for flavor, but I often find myself hypothesizing about the smallest things. Like, what's the deal with all the praying skeletons? Why is this wooden ship fused with a wall? You really get the sense that this place has thousands of years of history, and that most of it is unknowable. I also love all the different effects and rules there are the deeper they go.

My only complaint about the series is that I feel like things get a little too grim at times, but that's just my personal preference for lighter stories. A dark tone certainly fits the setting well. I'm excited to see where the upcoming third season goes.

Some people complain about how long Re:Zero S2 stays in the same plays, but episode to episode its just way more eventful so I don't get the opinion.

Yeah season 2 is a banger so far. I like the non-harem he is building too. It's not a harem, but for anime purposes it's a little bit of a harem.

All the reporting is "a new anime" but the original translation seems to be "a new anime project".

Love After World Domination completed. I enjoyed this one quite a bit! Fudo and Desumi were both fun characters, and their relationship was always cute or entertaining. It was refreshing to have a couple get together really early even if that whole 'opposing side on a Power Rangers show' thing meant they had to hide it. Despite that goofy background, there were still a lot of realistically heartwarming moments where they learned more about each other or dealt with typical relationship hurdles. I liked all the side characters too, the Princess Series girls were all fun in their own ways.

Give me alll the season 2s. Devil is a Part-Timer is my long awaited high mark. Who knew a show about a devil taking over a fast food joint would be so much fun? RWBY: IQ and Shadows House 2 are hopefuls. I would have said the same about Classroom, had they not spent episodes last season talking about a stupid panty theft...

I wasn't a fan of Part-Timer, it had some dumb overdramatic sections. I'm excited for Classroom of the Elite though, I should rewatch the first season at some point soon. It wasnt the greatest thing ever or anything but I liked the type of character that the main dude was

My main problem with Part-Timer was how slow it was. Felt like nothing happened most episodes. Wonder if this season'll speed things up a bit.

My favorite part of One Piece flashbacks is when they interrupt the flashback to do ANOTHER flashback

Ehh I think it was just something that bothered some people watching weekly. It's pretty clear that it's not actually a problem if you're binging. But yeah it's a fantastic season and I agree wholeheartedly. You haven't even seen all the best stuff yet.

BTW there IS an OVA, Memory Snow, that you should watch sooner rather than later. It's going to be pretty noteable soon and they'll start to reference stuff in it.

Brotherhood has been dethroned several times. Spy x Family was #1 for a while, and Aot Final Pt.1 was too. The FMA fans always pitch a fit and bot the competition down. Worst fanbase in anime.

9 of the top 50 are Gintama and I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone talk about that anywhere

It's good enough for me that Kaguya was ever in #1, even without trolls the score is always going to go down with time.

Most places are a shitshow. I'm lucky there are still places on GFAQs that aren't fucking boner contents of trolls. Any game or platform centric server...good fucking luck getting through that without someone being a random jerk or have some dumb troll gimmick. You can't go anywhere without someone being a complete asshole. It wouldn't shock me if MAL was a cesspool too.

Gintama is pretty solid. It's not really the type of show I'm looking for but I think it's quite good at what it does. I should actually probably try and watch the rest of it at some point.

Hate is a strong word for a show I dont care about in a medium I basically dont even watch anymore.

Gintama seems to be one of those shows that people who get invested in love but nobody else really cares about negatively or positively. It's high because there's nobody going out if their way to bring the score down.
