Finished AS Ch.12. It was wild. Francis, the Celestite who was imprisoned for being radical, maybe wasn't a bad guy, though it still remains to be seen if he's alive or not. He manages to allocate enough power at the big ol Celestite tower to unleash some deus ex machina as a one time use. It's been something mentioned since the last chapter, and nobody knows what it is or how to gain the authority to use it. Eclipsites want that tower and all its power, so they're launching a big ol' attack.

Meanwhile Barton goes into the aurorian modification chamber in that tower and gets his big ol form change, nearly kicking Forsakin's butt by himself, til she throws enough bodies at him to get away. Vice is next but it'll take longer cuz she's like kinda dead, and Barton was alive so it was instantaneous. Poor Carleen spends a majority of the last 2 chapters basically soloing an army of Eclipsites and slowly being worn down.

Navi gets a hint to use the big ol weapon, but he can't defeat the security system by himself. Vice finally revives and saves the day as expected, and Navi activates the machine to do something or another. And the big ol weapon turns out to be a giant mind control device, which is well suited to be the most powerful Celestite weapon lol.

The formerly snarky Forsakin and the big cocky Eclipsite general boss Figerald are suddenly turned docile. They can't muster up any motivation to attack the tower anymore and are just compelled to go back home.

There were a lot of stuff left out here, and it turned into this massive war for the tower basically, involving Bethlehem and Reinhardt joining forces, and Reinhardt reaffirming once again that Navi is the powerful figure she needed to turn the corrupt assholes in Illumina on their heads. But as she says that, after the battle is already over, all the greedy assholes basically converge onto the tower to pick apart anything of worth, tells Reinhardt to sit the f down, despite her playing a huge role in saving the world for them. But the deus ex machina basically used up everything the tower had, making it a giant rock by this point. At least they celebrate Navi's heroism, but Carleen warns Navi to keep Celestites essentially being villains a secret. After all she went through these chapters, she really needs a new form, and my wallet will cry.

Was pretty enjoyable overall. They took really long to get this out, but I think it was very well formed. They really put a lot of care into the world building and had like several months of world building converge into these chapters.

Mordred.

which sucks because she overlaps the Saber slot with the free servant from the summer swimsuit event, but i like her more than Hokusai.

I burned my free max ascension on her...

Mordred has an AOE NP, while Hokusaber has a ST NP and a bit more focus on crits. Generally, you'd use Mordred for fights with several enemies, and Hokusaber for a fight with just one. So it's not really an overlap, since they do different things.

Also, the current event is a rerun of last year's summer event. We'll get this year's summer event late July or early August, and the welfare Servant there is a Lancer.

My mordred doesn't get as much attention as OG Saber, but she is effective when I just need to bash my head against some lancers.

I love Mordred. My first pull for her I got 2 lol

I do need a good Lancer and archer still

I lost count how many times my Lady Blackpearl died because of me accidentally entering ST charge mode instead of dodging (hurr fat fingers and strong press).

Now that I know her best way of playing (or any axe charas in general) is actually just ST charge and spam, perhaps I could die less often.

Yeah TBH I don't know what it is either lol. But from what I understand, you save SSR dupes for level 100+ limit breaks, because they can take the place of 5 Fusion Cores. Since pre-level 100 limit breaks use APT cores, they're easily farmable when compared to Fusion Cores.

In CS, I got to the last boss of Dive 45, and he somehow outtanked my best team. I souped up some backup units, and I think I can stand a chance now, developed some pretty good strats, but it still takes so much luck to get there. My poor poor info T-T

I am...done with Azur Lane. Officially uninstalled. Maybe if there's another collab that I like I might take a look, but as of now I'm spending a lot of time playing it but not having fun. It's seriously less enjoyable than my actual job lol.

Yostar seems to do a pretty bad job at QoL stuff. Like they really should've had a skip function for Arknights or the event things in Azur Lane. But instead I'm just running it in the background on Bluestacks waiting for it to be over to do the next one that has the 3x point bonus of the day. Plus I hate the morale lowering system that discourages grinding even though you need to grind :<

Oh no...I'm beginning to see the horrors of terrible AI now that the matches are getting closer in Counterside. I lost my first strategy battles (2 in a row) because the AI was so dumbfuck stupid that instead of sending in a cheap and strong unit like Chifuyu, the twins, or Gaeun for 2 or 3 points, it just waited until it could get 4 points to send in the much weaker Estarosa. Meanwhile the enemy was just smacking the ship the entire time, so when Estarosa finally did come in, she did very little because A) the ship got damaged while they were waiting and B) Estarosa is by far the weakest unit on my main team <_<

Tbf, Yostar dont make the games but publish them. The Chinese devs should add these QoL though for sure. Some of the worst parts about the games.

Manjuu made AL. Similarly, Hypergryph made Arknights. Both have Yostar as publishers.

You could make a meme of how long it takes for HG (Hypergryph) to add "claim all" button to the missions, just like the meme of HG being more of a music company than game.

I did, which is why I have Chifuyu and Gaeun as my first two units. All that does is explain why the AI does that, not excuse its blatant stupidity <_<

It's just like the warning in Azur Lane. They give a warning about the AI being dumb as hell, and I had to watch my vanguard go out of its way to swim into torpedoes that were going off the screen... Simply put, there's a warning, but it's still aggravating.

Doesn't the AI in PVP throw them out in random order though, not the usual AI order?

I'm pretty sure I've seen them come out in random orders, unless I'm going mad.

I think there's a mode that shuffles your squad, but I forget where. But in strategy matches it's always in order. Which is, as mentioned, annoying as hell because it makes them do dumbfuck things <_<

Just a warning: she is almost useless and has unusually high skill upgrade costs.
IIRC in JP she released demanding like 10x of all skill disks/books for one level up.

The whole reason the AI is set-up that way is so that you can tailor your team to it.

Somewhat looking forward to trying it but it's hard to be excited for a game that was previously shutdown and now being revived. Makes me question how long it'll last this time around.

While I do still enjoy Azur Lane, I can't say I like the morale system either, just turns grinding into a game of musical chairs when I have to rotate ships/fleets.

I also don't care much for Operation Siren and how META ships work, to the extent I don't even try to unlock the ones from OS and generally ignore the freebie ones we get from the Seasonal Cruise Missions.

Ironically, the Miku in Figure Fantasy was one of the more powerful units of her class type, and synergized well with pretty much anyone from her faction.

Still, useless or not, it's Miku so I gots to have her in BlueArc too.

Maybe I'm a lazy grinder, but never really had an issue with the moral system.

It is annoying that I have to load the game up to change them around with resting, but I just can never be bothered to grind enough to drain their morale entirely before I shut the game down and do other things.

I think it was originally only released in SEA around 2015-2016 and had EOS in 2018. So there's maybe 3 years of content before we see if Crunchyroll ends it or adds their own.

Same. I go through my daily amount of oil without them dropping into problem territory, but then again I also have 100 uncollected emails cause I dont need the oil from them.

i finished the main event quest, did some of the extra stuff, and am not touching the event again.

After the May Clan Battle rewards came in (btw we went up in rank a little so great job everybody) I now have over 180,000 gems saved up in PriConne. I have enough gems saved for four sparks, and now I'm just sitting here waiting for the summer Saren/Makoto banners.
