You guys really making me sweat over here. I thought Karun was high priority so no clue how he got all the way to the bottom. The right character died in those bottom four, at least. Actor Loki was definitely my favorite joke character in the contest because his scene is hilarious and his cameo is in one of my favorite Marvel movies. But he was going up against M'Baku, Karun, and Robert Redford. Not a tough choice.

It has to go to one save eventually. I was going to do it at twenty but wed run out of hour three by then because of larger than anticipated participation. The other alternative is to bump this up to seven saves per character now and then go to a single save at twenty left, but that isnt all that much better in terms of total votes needed to clear a round. Id rather just pull the bandaid off now.

I mean I fully understand not wanting to be here all day because it's hard for me as well.

Looking back at Smash, they were already at one save per post way before this, but they were only at 4 saves needed at this point which helped things not be so unbearably long.

Right now we'd be at 6 saves per character with 25 characters left so 149 posts worth of saves, max. We had 29 savers in the first hour, some people join in later and some people who only save once and then bounce. So we're probably looking at 6+ hours if we keep it at six saves.

If we go down to five saves to try and keep the time less burdensome, we have 124 posts worth of saves, max. Still with 29 savers (or so) per hour, we'd probably be looking at 5+ hours instead.

I dunno, do people have thoughts on this besides Ulti? I don't mind trying to keep the total time in that 5 hour range to start the round and then boosting the saves back up once we get below that four hour mark. We have hit six hours a couple of times before in the earliest rounds of the contest, but I understand if people don't want to go back to that.

You got like three hours for feedback before I make a decision. Can't guarantee I'll go with the majority but I'd at least like to hear some thoughts!

I'm fine with whatever, but I have too much free time so I don't think my opinion should really be taken seriously here.

We do need to go down to one save an hour eventually, but if we do so now I think we should switch to five saves per. Keep in mind that not everyone is gonna stick around for 6+ hours if the round goes too long. Like, if it starts at 2 pm Central, I won't be able to do more than the first four hours (Rocket / Fury / ??? / Sylvie)

The good news is it seems like you accidentally saved us some time anyway! I'm going to decrease it down to 5 saves at least for these first couple of days and see how things go. Seems like that's the feedback I've been getting and I don't mind trimming it down a bit (as much for my own sanity as much any everyone else's).

I will try to start it a bit earlier too, but that 1-2 start time is what works best for my schedule. I'll try to get it closer to the 1, if possible though. Thanks all!
