They are long i know.. but i need to beat them, how do you suggest i proceed without getting (or at least minimum) gaming fatigue

• Borderlands 3
• Assassin Creed Valhalla
• Death Stranding
• Horizon Zero Dawn
• God of War

God of War > AC Valhalla > BL3 > HZD > DS

God of War then Death Stranding and then whatever

Death Stranding (for Kojima!) > God of War > AC:V > BL3 > HZD

Go with:

1) Horizon Zero Dawn
2) God of War
3) Assassin Creed Valhalla

Then Death Stranding only if you really, really, really can't find any other games.

And give Borderlands 3 a hard pass.

AC is a better game than Borderlands but Valhalla is a ridiculously large game in a ridiculously large world for a single player game.

Really? why?

Don't play Death Stranding offline. You'd only be experiencing like 1/3rd of the game.

3) Valhalla

Use Borderlands to break up the monotony as GoW and Valhalla are extremely similar aesthetically. Don't play HZD, game is terrible and is way too similar to Valhalla from a gameplay standpoint. If you play both back to back it'll feel like you're just completing checklists.

and how is the gameplay similar at all?? The combat and traversal is entirely different, youre facing entirely different types of enemies exploring very different environments and each game has a very different type of narrative.

I think you should feel bad about this.

Hard disagree.

If anything, I'd skip Valhalla as it's weaker than both Origins and Odyssey, and the formula is stretched thin at this point. Assassin's Creed is played tf out. I got so burned out by the end of Valhalla that I'm going to pass on AC games for the foreseeable future.

HZD might not be reinventing the wheel, but it's a solid game with an engaging gameplay loop, and it plays much different than AC, unless you play AC with bows... in which case you're playing AC wrong

Personally, I'd skip Valhalla before I skipped HZD... I loved HZD!

Is it even Assassin's Creed anymore? Didn't play Origins but did play Odyssey. It was an action adventure game and not a stealth game.

the franchise has MOSTLY been that

it was really only the first game that really pressured you to be stealthy

No that is not true. The games wanted you to use stealth for the most part.

Yeah, but it's a good action adventure game, which is more what matters.

I had more fun with Odyssey than I'd had with a bunch of the other mainline games. Definitely more than AC3 at any rate.

And to be honest, they weren't all that punishing if you just brute forced your way through most assassinations in the later games. Even the Ezio games tended to give you leeway if you were apt to keep getting caught. And Syndicate basically gave you different protagonists depending on whether or not you preferred playing more stealthy (Evie) or a bit more action-y (Jacob).

in terms of what? quests/map or story/plot?
