falling for "get rich quick" schemes is a sad reality that can happen to so many people. its a sickness. how do these people not diversify? why are they putting all their money into a single cryptocoin? even the most basic financial advice could have prevented this

The problem is that most people get flooded with bad financial advice long before they're even aware of where to get good advice. And even for those who do get good advice, actually applying it can be hard, and there's always the weakness of giving into "get rich quick" temptations no matter how illogical they are.

I'm not in favor of outright bans / restrictions to deal with that, but you know what would be great? Actually teaching people about this kind of stuff during schooling. The average person has far more need for knowing how to manage finances than they do for knowing what a mitochondria is.

I remember someone was doing a drop trade between his accounts and dropped like 600k worth of gold. I happened to see it as it was happening and swiped it before he could log into his other account. Dude was pissed and I quickly logged off.
