Wetterdew 05/07/22 12:18:18 AM #1:	except for one small-budget one i saw, they're all the same 'oh no the dimensions are coming unstable' 'we have to stabilize the dimensions or reality itself will be torn apart' which is just an excuse to shove random content in that viewers will love seeing (even if only superficially), which would otherwise be impossible to ham-fist into the movie if it were written any other way. for comic book movies it means you can mash old iterations of the franchise into the new iteration, drowning yourself in meta content (which fans love but it gets old fast) and because it's a 'mysterious multiverse' that's code for 'we can write what we want and it don't have to make sense or follow much logic' like if you ever have to ask why something is happening -- the answer is just "stop trying to understand why this is happening --- magic multiverse, dimensions collapsing, weird stuff can happen now" which is so unsatisfying. <cite>Wetterdew posted [p:964849955] in multiverse...
