Haven't posted in a while, so I'm not sure what happened to them. But I love when I can remove trolls from my ignore list to make room for the other trolls.

We need names.

They were kind of acting like a bit of an asshole in a few topics a few days ago, so I'm assuming they were having real life issues and were being more abrasive on the boards in general. A poor mod history, a bunch of messages getting modded in quick succession, and one solid meltdown would probably be enough for a dickpunch from the mods.

I've had him blocked for a while so I have no clue. I just checked my ignore and blocked list so see if anyone on it was recently banned and his last log in was 3 days ago with a -5 account status.

Yeah, it also seems to work out that way for me in real life, like at work. If there's someone I really just don't care for, 95% if the time they wind up quitting, getting fired, or screwing up in some other major way in short order.

Does Janway still post here? Their account is still active (surprisingly) from what I can tell.

I don't recall having seen Janway since Jan 6, 2021. I have not looked at the activity of the account itself since I couldn't be assed about it, but their posts on this board have been more or less non-existent since around that time.

...and most of his posts have been pretty trolly, so I've been assuming he's just one of the traditional shitposters hiding behind a new face, as is the usual SOP.

It's a really old account with 200 karma. That in and of itself is almost always proof of a shitposting troll.

Basically, you've got three options:

1) A troll made the account forever ago, mostly forgot about it, and only pulled it back out recently because most of their other accounts have gotten banned.

2) It's an actual user who has been relatively active for years, but who is so utterly terrible that they're constantly getting modded and losing karma faster than they can acquire it.

3) It's an actual old user who came here 18 years ago, left, and for some reason spontaneously decided to come back out of nowhere and for no rational reason. In which case we're talking about an entirely different psychological problem.

Regardless of which answer is correct, it's still mostly a shitposter.

Ehh, I agree with PO. Old accounts with low karma that show up out of nowhere are always pretty suspicious.

People ask me "why do you have an ignore list" and, while I don't add people any more, one must wonder what actual benefits to seeing a user like "I made poop for you"'s posts, him literally telling us what comes below is going to be poop in his name! It ain't even all these users. It's people who engage them. If they just said dumb, baitworthy crap it'd be one thing but 50+ post topics are spent sometimes arguing with a user that doesn't even believe what they are saying.
