It wasn't part of the act, it wasn't a joke. Michael Richards just said "HE'S A (N-WORD)! HE'S A (N-WORD)!" because he was mad at the guy for heckling him. If that man had went back and punched Michael Richards, I don't think anyone would've blamed him. Thankfully Michael Richards' career was dead after that so he paid a heavy price for that. But he definitely deserved to be punch too.
