Eliminated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQ6gPyYNgPo It's no secret that I've been backing Monogatari for a number of years. Will it ever win? Probably not, best shot was a a few years back. But this is a series unlike many others, a fairly generic premise to begin with. A heroic protagonist saves various girls from the mystery oddity of the week. Monogatari's always gone beyond that with its storytelling and despite the small scale it does end up becoming its own grand tale of sorts. I believe it's the franchise I've spent the 2nd most on trailing only...Final Fantasy and it has been worth it.
