Wanted to get a new Samsung. I'm still very miffed at the removal of headphone jack from new phones, and that's not getting into all the other inconvenient shit that phone companies pull nowadays.

Because of the lack of physical menu button and bezel space, my phone now has permanent screen burn-in. Which they did all for a tiny extension of the screen that I could do without.

My current phone's approaching 4 years now and it's showing signs of Samsung's typical planned obsolescence with buggy slowdown and problems but while the new galaxy has a really nice green color, I can't get over them just removing features and my paying more for less.

I need to buy a dongle.
Wireless buds are nice, but over ear hits different.
And I refuse to give up my skull crushers.

I didnt know Samsung does that stuff, too. Apple removed the headphone jack years ago and I had to start using wireless. They made a power move to try to make me buy AirPods, but I got another type which I like more.

If theyre going to remove the headphone jack and sell the phone for such a high price, why does it not include a free pair of ear buds.

Need to wait for reviews to come in to be sure but ASUS ROG Phone 6 releases later this year and every single previous ROG Phone has debuted with the best snapdragon available and consistently ranked #1 in battery life for Android phones. Also, the current ROG Phone still has an aux jack and there's no reason to suspect it will be removed for RPG Phone 6.

If you need a phone right now, the most recent ROG Phone is the 5s.

Runs on AT&T and T-Mobile

Wired gives much higher sound quality.
Much.
Not to mention convenience of not having to charge, and not having to worry about signal interference.

But how do you get burn-in on your phone?

It ties into the lack of a physical button for the home and general navigation bar. Making it part of the screen is the most infuriatingly idiotic thing ever:

https://img.gadgethacks.com/img/66/87/63629227498480/0/galaxy-s8s-are-experiencing-screen-burn-its-not-just-home-button.w1456.jpg

See instead of dedicating that 1 mm of space for a bezel to put the navigation menu on, Samsung opted to make it part of the screen like so:

https://i.imgur.com/V5MzHKq.jpg

This basically means you either deal with having no menu on the phone, or have it be permanently burned in because needing to do a swipe motion just to click back or menu is a step backwards
