I read today that STEM related articles make up about 36% of the list Redactle pulls from.

Crap, I fucked up on this one.

I thought I had it at 26 guesses with subatomic particles, but that wasn't quite right, so I started thinking of different types of subatomic particles and did a quick Wikipedia check to confirm whether a lepton was an actual thing or if I was just making it up. Turns out that it is, and it had the article title in the short description. Oops.

I don't know how long it would have taken me to get to the title otherwise.

There's literally sports, hobbies, movies, actors/actresses, historic events, musicians and so much more they could use.

I don't think there's been a single musician yet in this. We've had one actress. I don't think a single movie. Like..... man, I am about to throw in the towel on this one myself. I found quantum mechanics, and I don't even honestly know what that is. I only heard of it.

There's better ones. If this is your first, you got unlucky here. I recommend trying again. We've gotten ones as easy as "Snow", "Screw" and "Ice Skating" in the past. These physics ones come up..... a little too often, but this is actually fun when it isn't something you need to be a quantum physicist to know.

First time I played this game, and I love it. Definitely my favorite wordle spinoff

279 guess, 23.66% accuracy. Which is horrible, but Im extremely unfamiliar with common Wikipedia vocabulary. I went with a bunch of numbers, tried guessing years, days of the week, months, etc.

Eventually I decided to properly skim the article, saw a section with a bunch of ups and downs right next to each other and immediately thought of quarks. It was hit after hit for my last 20 guesses.

Im really excited to try this again now that I have a slightly better idea of what *not* to waste guesses on. I cant imagine uncovering the word August is going to help me ever.. idk why I even tried that shit lol

I solved today's Redactle (#68) in 70 guesses with an accuracy of 50.00%.

I donked this one all up. Had really good hits at three and four guesses with television and show.
For whatever reason I started focusing on the technical aspects of television, lighting and camera work, etc. Camera got me some hits and that kept me going

Even when I hit with comedy at 46 it still didn't click.

It took me until I had the entire sentence "A _____________comedy television program may be recorded in front of a studio audience"

93 guesses, 35.48% accuracy

My first dozen guesses were complete misses, than I happened to hit genre which at least guided me to the arts, but television was of course my last guess and finally gave me another hit.

For some reason, I was just absolutely stumped (and over-focusing on) the early sentence a genre of comedy and for almost the entire game was completely misunderstanding what that was saying. Then it clicked in my head and I realized it was a sub-genre. Hit on comedy and then cleared it two guesses later.

Well I stand corrected, hahaha

This is such a great idea for a game. I do feel like maybe they have a couple too many basic words still hidden at default - Be and Are for example are surprising to have redacted. But thats not taking any enjoyment away, dont get me wrong.

That is correct, yes. So if I had 100% accuracy, that would mean that every single guess I did yielded at least one hit in the article. My accuracy today means 1/5 words I did was at least one hit. Which is terrible.

I also kind of filled the blanks in mentally of 'Board Game for Two Players' after coming to the possibility it was Go.

Figured from the first paragraph that it was near the mouth of a river, and from the third paragraph that it was founded by the ancient Greeks. Then I checked to make sure that the letters fit the title, and also that when you added the extra 's' that it fit the little blurb which I assumed was the phrase "also spelled in English as...".

Man, Tom and Jerry fits in today's slot, but I don't see anything lining up with "An animated" or "A Cartoon" in the first sentence. I notice that the "and" is Italicized too, indicating it's a title of something. If I can't think of anything else that fits, I'll probably still try it, but .... >.> .... Then I see "It was" indicating that it is not just a group of two people, and that it was likely a show or something named like that but no longer exists?.

Well, I was right in that I was wrong about the above. I can't think of anything else.
