Like both times I've gotten frustrated to the point of quitting well before figuring out the answer. I realized right away that it was most likely ~~"commander-in-chief of the military," meaning that the section was probably about the government of a nation, and thus the article was probably about that nation.~~ Then I ~~went back up to the top of the article. The first sentence, which described the nation, ended with the phrase "in ________ (8) _________ (9) ____ (4)."~~ It seemed clear that the four-letter word was "Asia," so I figured that the nine-letter word was probably "Southeast."
