Obviously it was going to be a king of some sort. Tried Richard first because the blanks were the right size for Richard the Lionheart. That didn't work, so the answer was the next logical step.

In retrospect, Richard the Lionheart wouldn't have worked anyway, since that article is actually titled Richard I of England, but I didn't realize that at the time.

I was for a bit too. I thought this was going to be about slavery or something, since I saw a part that said "selling people into --------" ..... Looking at it now, it wasn't too too far off, given the word was 'marriage'.

Seems that section of the article could really take you down a wrong path, if that's what caught you up too.

I solved today's Redactle (#45) in 37 guesses with an accuracy of 45.95%.

I got this one pretty quick (for me). One of my first guesses was theory which led me to "theory of evolution," so I wasted a lot of guessing thinking it was something about Darwin or an animal. The eventual guess of reproduction led me to sex which led to "sex outside" which led to marriage and that got me to the answer is about five guesses.

I shoulda gotten it probably 5 guesses earlier. I guessed "Reptile" because I was suspicious it was an alligator, but that literally gave me a 0. But looking into all the words I found (Literally got nothing over 10 on my hits), it just sounded like it more and more. I tried a more definitive word (Bite) to pull out if it could still be that word/place/thing/whatever, and bite being a primary way of killing prey just made me have to take the leap, and I did.

God, I'm so annoyed. I thought about alligator/crocodiles earlier, but like ya'll I guessed reptile at #40 and got nothing, so I figured it wasn't in. It was only when I guessed death and saw what was blatantly a "death roll" that I got it.

Man, electric threw me off for a while, then I didn't really think of 'plasma' when I got physics. But eventually I uncovered "The fourth state of -----" and saw gas, solid and liquid were there and I was like "What the Hell was that fourth state?" ...... eventually it hit me as an 'Wait....... Waiiiiiiiiiit a minute' moment again. God damnit, I associate this word with blood, not physics, magnetic fields and electricity, so it threw me off bad.

Looking at the article, VERY surprised I didn't say 'matter' at all. I tried things like joules and friction and so many other things trying to dig deep into physics class. I didn't even have to. :(

Took several guesses to narrow down the centuries appropriately, then I guessed "war" and saw that a specific war it referenced was six letters long. The Boshin War was the first one that popped in my head given the timeframe, and when that returned results, the answer was pretty much a lock.
