It's another reason the topic is bad; the idea that someone can't express concern over injustice if they are doing well is also one of the points the topic was making beyond misrepresenting the situation.

With the backdrop of NYmag expos, this is bad optics. But they seemed to have already known as the original video is now private (I am sure commenters brought it up in the original video)

Its hilariously stupid that conservatives like to say you cant be a real activist unless you live under a bridge, as if economic justice isnt the thing people are fucking fighting for in the first place.

I'm not saying it's false that they used the money for their own ends like people are saying, but even if they didn't, even eating at a fancy restaurant, like some people are saying, can look bad if people twist it up with their own narratives.

It'd be more palatable if they were transparent and showed that they used the donations charitably for the black community. Michael Brown's and Tamir Rice's families have still never seen any money
