And in all honesty, I'm afraid of caring about my life.

Well at least youre not afraid!

I think it's gotten to the point where many people aren't caring about their life because the world has mostly become unlivable. There are many confusing tedious procedures just to survive.

COVID-19 fucked everything. Started in 2020.... Still hasn't ended.

I am not religious, nor believe in destiny. That being said, I do believe that when its your time, its your time. So I live that way. I have been in positions where I could have died, such as cancer and a diabetic complication that landed me in the ICU for two days. All those times I was pretty much Meh. Been like that all my life. I wouldn't say I am careless, but I guess more like that guy from Hercules with the Rock who foresaw his own death and accepted it.

If you want my take on it, and i'll try and keep it brief.

You don't need to care about your life, in fact it's pretty illogical to do so to be honest since it ends eventually and anything that happens in between goes poof (as far as your eperiences/memories are concerned).

It makes more sense to care about OTHERS lives. Try to live your life and enjoy it as much as possible, and not suffer, but do so while trying to reduce suffering in others as much as you can, and help make existence a little less miserable for as many people as you can.

As you get older, or more and more things pile up, you can end up with less and less energy to spend, not just on others but yourself. That can make it hard to even see the point of existing anymore.

I am about as tired as a human can get though, and in the last few years I have saved a child's life, I have helped friends who had nobody to turn to, and I have made other people happier. I barely ever actually interact with anyone. I live on an island 30 mins from town and don't like to drive, and even out here, just because I'm open to help people and let them know, I have been able to make a difference.

Is it worth existing to do so? That is up to you, but for me, at least I know I am still an over all positive in the universe and I'm content (not exactly happy) as long as that is the case.

You don't have to want to live for yourself. There are so many people out there struggling, who are young, still have energy, and many things they want, people they care for etc. You can make a difference in their lives, even if you barely have any energy and there are tons of restrictions on what you can do. You can still bring joy to others and honestly that will likely bring joy to yourself as well.

I love the people I have helped, I feel joy and happiness when things go well or them. Children especially have so much to experience and so much of life is still new and beautiful to them.

So if you can't find things you want, or can't find the energy to care about yourself or your own life, I suggest trying to join a church or community and volunteer, help others. For me it takes energy to actually interact with others so that limits me, even having friends is hard because they often want more social time than I can easily handle. Still, it's worth it to try, and better then just sitting around trying to find ways to pass the time till you finally die.

Your life cares about you.
