ok, so i know a lot of you have been on the edge of your seats waiting for an update in the "cactuscat attempts to woo the convenience store girl" chronicles, and i have an update for you
as you already guessed by my aptly titled title, she said yes! but "to what?" you may be asking yourself. well, it's really simple
i went in for my daily purchase of dog food (i don't have a dog), a bottled water (i drink distilled water so it was a super expensive smart water - now she knows i'm made of money), and some caramel popcorn (for my grandma, i'm doing yardwork at her house tomorrow and its her favorite snack)

anyway, she made a joke about the smart water, something like "does it make you smarter?" and i said "i wish, but i've been duped before...like, i have all of my wisdom teeth but i'm still a dumb ass" and she laughed a bit, and said i'm funny (see, unlike some of the jabronis from here, lots of people have a sense of humour)
then she was like "i'm sure you're pretty smart" and then i said "maybe, but i have a pretty bad track record, like i want to ask you out but it'd be the smart move not to, and here i am bringing it up"
then she was like "where are you taking me?" and then we set details, we exchanged numbers and snapchats, and have been chatting ever since.

thanks! it's a huge step up from getting no replies on dating sites to this. i hope things work out, but i'm not gonna worry.
all jokes aside, especially from the jovial nature of my initial post - i'm terribly anxious, i haven't been on a date in close to 5 years and the last one really did a number on my ability to trust others.
but it's all good! y'know - "fake it til you make it" and all that jazz.

because it sounds better than saying i have a cat. i don't make the rules, but in my experience of tinder (where i had 0 success, as in no replies ever), girls don't like it when guys have cats for some reason. i'll try to spin it by saying he (my cat) doesn't like dry cat food/treats but eats dog food/treats, which isn't terrible health wise cus i feed him wet food/a semi-raw diet.

nah, it's safe. if you have poor nutrition, it can be bad for you because it can strip the nutrients/minerals from your body. but also strips some toxins/things you don't need, so it has ups and downs but isn't unsafe. also distilled water is better for plants if you grow anything

yeah cus she might have to work on friday if nobody can take her shift. so we planned on two days, but it might just be one. we've talked almost nonstop since yesterday so it's like we've already been on one date

it's a beagle and golden retriever, they're really socialized for birds cus my neighbors also have ducks and hens. and it's not always dry dog food, usually i get those single-serve cans
