Ya, it's ok - it's like Terraria if there was nothing to do....

...

Ok, that comes off as harsh, but that's how it feels some times. It's more about going to different planets and admiring the weirdly randomized spore-esque creatures

I didn't get far enough to judge it properly, but it felt like Terraria and I don't like Terraria

That comes across as absolutely terrible, honestly.

Especially since my usual description of Terraria is "It's like Minecraft, if you took out most of the actual fun parts of Minecraft and focused way harder on the stupid bits."

Pretty close, it's like this:

Minecraft is a building game that can involve some RPG aspects and dungeon crawling. It can be a social game that is fun for hundreds of hours and is highly recomended.

Teraria is like Minecraft in 2d instead of 3d, with more of a focus on combat and bosses but less enjoyable crafting and the social aspects are reduced as well. Still playable for hundreds of hours, but probably with at least 1 friend to make it bearable.

Starbound is like Terraria in space, but with less actual gameplay, less social aspects, less boss fights and less interesting equipment and upgrades. As a whole it has much more "space" but not in a good way. Playable for many hours if you don't get too bored to continue (which is likely).

That is how I would describe them.

Pretty much. When I played it it seemed like you ran out of things to do as soon as you finished the questline. It's pretty fun though while it lasts.
