Blasphemous Blade is broken.

I beat her on my first run with Rivers of Blood and thought I was hot shit. But then literally couldn't beat her with an UGS my second run.

Without Blasphemous, bleed, frost, or Ash summons, she's far and away the most difficult boss they have ever made. But with any of those I just listed she ain't that tough.

I didn't actually have Mimic Tear back when it was truly busted (this is the first major boss I've used it on) but it's kind of hilarious how it can use Blasphemous Blade's special power and heal itself to full.

What level should I be fighting the Dragonkin guy in Siofra River at? He's one-shotting me with every one of his attacks at RL 45 and 19 Vigor, and I feel like that probably shouldn't be happening.

I'm probably underleveled, because this has been a pretty consistent feeling for several bosses/minibosses I've fought now.

It's also kind of hard to tell that she's fucked up looking. She's generally curled around her egg and she wears a big-ass robe.

So I take it that after you set the Erdtree aflame the Roundtable Hold is also aflame, suggesting that it's inside the Erdtree?

It's a shame I didn't get the mimic tear until after the nerf, but he still seems completely overpowered

In Leyndell (before its covered in ash), you can go inside a castle with the interior having the exact same layout as Roundtable Hold. Though IDK if it's the exact same place or if RH we go to is in some alternate reality/something like that akin to hub area + Untended Graves in Dark Souls 3.

Yeah I've been there. You can see the charred remains of Alberich in the room where he invades you in Roundtable Hold. I can only assume Roundtable Hold is either a deliberate copy of that place or is literally that place in another reality.

I have a theory that they'll make Ranni's rune a DLC area probably on the moon. And if you get every rune in the game, you'll be able to legitimately reforge the Elden Ring and enter the Erdtree instead of burning it.

Mimic Tear is so good it's stupid.

Mimic Tear with a Blasphemous Blade can nearly solo them. No joke.

I have Mimic Tear, but idk if I'm maximizing my build, because we're still getting whooped by some bosses (that one falling star monster outside of Volcano Manor being an example).

those great shield summon guys have been more helpful.

What build/weapons you using?

just a strength build with a heavy +20 cement hammer.

I think I'm on level 91 or 92, with 55 in strength (60, with the talisman that boosts up some of your stats +5).

Boy, you can really abuse the hell out of Rotten Breath. I rotted that Tree Sentinel guarding Maliketh and then played Dodge the Fireballs for about 5 minutes as he rotted away.

The streamer I'm watching used this. It's wild to see her open with a rot breath and just knock off a quarter of the boss' health before it even realizes shit is happening

Huh, just saw something neat about the Renalla fight. The one you fight in phase two is sort of like a protective illusion that Ranni creates to protect her mom, I caught that. But the spirits she can summon are actually things that serve Ranni. There's a dragon and a pack of wolves guarding her tower, the bloodhound knight represents Blaidd, and the troll represents Iji.

Mimic is great for strength builds, not so much anymore for magic builds.

Beat the game and was preparing to choose the Age of Order ending where you restore the Erdtree but wound up accidentally marrying Ranni instead and becoming a god or something. Although TBH I actually kinda like that ending better.

Now in the haligtree castle. I swear I'm having more problems with regular enemies than bosses which really shouldn't be the case sometimes.

Everything became Cheese Mode once I got Blasphemous Blade and Mimic Tear, and I feel kinda bad about it.

I used Rivers of Blood my first run post capital so I hear you. You will see the difference your 2nd run.

It's funny I found the solo fights much harder than the duo fight. The fat one on that bridge and the noble in Caelid were probably up there as some of my toughest fights in the game due to when I encountered them.

Level and equipment upgrades really, really matter.

Equipment cheese aside, I agree. Honestly the Godskin Noble is far more difficult than the Apostle (for melee characters at least), but the Duo fight is in an area where there's tons of pillars that trip up his roll and lunge attacks. He's hindered significantly compared to his solo fight.

I think that boss is the worst designed one of the entire game. A complete mess. Looks and feels awful to fight. Just clips through everything and is when it most plays like a janky video game.

Ever since bloodborne they've increased the speed and movement of enemies while keeping the player slow and jank.

I remember summoning both my mimic tear and the NPC dude bernhold (I hope I spelled his name right) and we just kind of went to town on them. I was a dex/arcane character so bleed+the summon gangbang made short work of them, lol.

Erdtree Bow + Holy Arrows is quite a thing

Depends on your build. I didn't think she was bad with Rivers of Blood, but with an UGS she was nigh impossible for me.

I dunno about the one in the manor specifically but I do know sleep pots makes the duo much more manageable so I assume the others can be put to sleep as well. I beat the manor dude with Bloody Helice, that quick retreat followed by a deep thrust on the ash of war made the first phase easy, second phase I pulled out a spiked shield to help

Yeah sleep and a fast bleed weapon like daggers or claws will melt godskin nobles

I just used Mimic Tear and it kept the dude distracted.

I love archer summons (Redmane Knight Ogha, Laticia (I think that's her name? No legs lady), Marionette Soldiers), especially against small to mid sized enemies because it's amazing as fuck watching their attacks get cancelled due to a swift fuck you arrow coming out of nowhere.

Agreed! The Marionette especially: comes as a pair and do their rapid fire. Great for interruptions.

On one of my runs I decided to use them on the Red Wolf of Radagon because I just picked them up. They managed to survive and holy crap the whole room was just littered with arrows lol

Also a thing about summons that should be obvious but wasnt for me. The undead skeleton ones can revive just like normal versions of the enemies. With some luck they can easily last entire boss fights.

My dex/int build was starting to feel a bit weak, but then I picked up the Wing of Astel. This thing kinda slaps.

Moonveil and a cold Uchigatana powerstanced still hold up

I had been using a cold twinblade. Didn't want to use the Moonveil because I didn't want to be a casul, but cold uchi is something I might take for a spin. Does it proc both frost and bleed?

Yeah if you infuse a weapon with innate bleed it still keeps some bleed plus whatever status effect you add.

Yep yep.

Or if you wanna use Wing of Astel on your right for it's Ash of War, a Cold Scavenger's Curved Sword in your left will work wonders. Will proc cold and bleed and curved swords powerstanced does fast 4 hit combos with it's dash L1 and jump L1
