BUMPED2002 posted... Salt is prevalent in a lot of spices usually as a preservative. Some part curing or preservation, some part American dieting in general. Yeah I used it on eggs but it has way too much salt for something that's called lemon pepper. I couldn't find the brand I would normally use so just bought McCormick. --- Gamertag: Kegfarms, BF code: 2033480226, Treasure Cruise code 318,374,355, Steam: Kegfarms ... Copied to Clipboard!

Revelation34 posted... Nah it would taste fantastic. Maybe to you, but for most "normal" pallets, you need salt when cooking meat. Otherwise it is going to be dry and bland. Now putting salt on food AFTER it is cooked, that is a different story. You should never do that. If you feel the need to do that then it wasn't seasoned properly before being cooked. --- After 16 years, I have decided my signature will NOT be about my job! Revelation34 posted... I didn't. It uses salt as the first ingredient. It should be either the lemon or the pepper. So when using a brand you never used before, instead of checking the ingredients/nutrition facts and adjusting your cooking appropriately, you used it blindly like you would with your other brand? IntheDark posted... A special blend of spices shouldn't need salt since you can just use salt seperately. It gets worse if you want to use more than one blend and they all include salt. If I want to have more lemon pepper that also means more salt, which I don't want. I think I remember that existing when I lived in Costa Rica. At the very least I know lime was used a lot more there. They even had a really good lime ice cream. --- Gamertag: Kegfarms, BF code: 2033480226, Treasure Cruise code 318,374,355, Steam: Kegfarms ...
