I saw Another Eden had a pull event. Sadly lul it turns out I never linked my acc, so yeah... rip. I've been putting a lot of gachas on hold recently so maybe it's better for me

SSR ticket is now available in FGO. I will be using it for NP2 Ozy.

It pained me greatly to do so, but I picked Schez.

My only other option was NP2 Bradamante, and I can't justify using it on her, even if I like her, since she doesn't synergize well with Skadi to begin with.

There's no real difference if the focus is of a permanent unit. I think Oedo Kuuka is up for you guys? She's permanent, so if you don't want her, don't bother (she's not must-have either).

Pecorine is sadly not very good as a tank early on, and she's the only one you start with by default. Once you raise her star level she gets better, and once you get her Unique Equipment (which is late-game stuff) she turns into a nearly unkillable monster. But early on, it's easier to just pull a better tank from the standard gacha like Miyako or save up your dungeon coins to buy Nozomi's shards and unlock her.

Oh yeah, that's another thing you can do in this game. Shards aren't just for raising characters' star levels, they can also be used to unlock non-limited characters once you get enough of them. You can get shards either as rewards from certain Hard Mode stages or by buying them in the various coin shops. I believe the dungeon coin shop is the first one you unlock and the easiest to get coins for, and from there you can get shards for Nozomi (a great 3-star tank) and Yukari (the great support/healer character I mentioned earlier). Unlocking Nozomi and getting Yukari to 2-3 stars should be your first priority with those coins, because they'll help out a lot in the early/mid game.

The llama is great for AoE units like Rino, as she arrives to the battle with a delay, so units bunch up and let the AoE ultimate nuke them all much more effectively. Not super great as a tank until later though, but works well if you then have other units to give energy to Rino so she can ult faster.

Yeah, Rino Cannon is the one niche that Lima's really good at. Lima comes in late to bring enemies closer, Mitsuki lowers the crowd's defenses once they're grouped together, Yukari and Yuki charge Rino's TP so she can use her union burst (or UB for short, basically their super move once their TP meter fills) faster, and then Rino can sometimes wipe entire teams on her own with that UB. It's mostly used in the arena modes, and due to how attack targeting differs between PvP to PvE modes, the strategy doesn't really work as well outside of the arena, especially not against bosses.

Rino and illya are the two ones she works well with, yeah. Probably any other future AoE units we'll get as well.

In "end game" with her Unique Equipment, she is a much better general tank but that's likely a ways off for Tennousu, but outside a few bosses that have other units you want to pull forwards, she is much more a PvP unit.

* Tamaki and Rei are the only great characters you listed, use them.
* Focus your dungeon coins on unlocking Nozomi ASAP because you really need a decent tank and Pecorine/Lima are mediocre at it until later on. Yukari can be a secondary focus for dungeon coins after that.
* Focus your arena coins on ascending Tamaki to at least 3 stars, then either on ascending Rino more or unlocking Monika.
* Grind shards for Kokkoro, Pecorine, Lima, Yui, Rei, Saren, and Misaki in the early Hard mode chapters for now.
* Saren is a 3-star character whose shards can be acquired super early and she's pretty good, so use them to unlock her ASAP.
* Misaki is literally your only remotely decent magic attacking option for a while unless you pull someone else, so just use her until you can get someone better. Karyl sucks until you ascend her pretty high, and your arena coins should really be prioritized elsewhere for now.
* Shiori (Hard 5-3), Eriko (Hard 7-2), Djeeta (Hard 13-3), Jun (Hard 14-2), Kyoka (Hard 16-3), and Illya (17-3) are more great characters you'll want to grind shards for once you progress farther into the game, either to unlock them if you don't pull them before then or to ascend them if you do have them.
* Everyone else from your list that I haven't talked about is either bad, not worth the grind to make them good, or won't be good until much later on.
* When you unlock the Clans option, search for our clan (it's called PrinCEsses and the leader's name is Cal) and join it. You'll get clan coins from the monthly clan battles, and put every single clan coin you get for it into unlocking and ascending Makoto. No one else from the clan shop matters at all.
* Once you unlock the Princess Arena shop later on, focus your princess coins on Hatsune (great magic attacker), Kaori (great physical attacker), and Miyako (amazing tank). Unless you pull a different mage before then, I'd aim for Hatsune first.

That's every piece of advice I could think of right now. If you have any questions about anything, ask and I'll try to help as much as I can.

Karyl is dungeon coins, not arena coins. Not that that changes much, since you already listed a dungeon coin priority, but just wanted to point that out.

I would also argue against prioritizing Lima for farming. Early game you only really need one tank, and Lima is worse than Pecorine. Late game, Lima is still worse than Pecorine in PvE, and situationally useful in PvP. Unless Tennousu is planning to focus on PvP, Lima shouldn't be a high priority right now.

I honestly wouldn't focus on PvP unless you somehow manage to get a meta team by luck.

Yeah, Lima and Tsumugi are fantastic units in PvP, but outside of that they are both pretty niche and while can have uses in certain bosses are better things to focus on at first. Tsumugi is a great disrupt unit, but rarely much need for that in PvE.

Of course, eventually you'll have them all grinded out even as a f2p - I've got every unit from the main shops maxed out now, save for when they put new ones in at least.

Otherwise Cal's advice all looks pretty good to me.

Did not expect that Cloudtop Peak boss to be Lv 44. Even the route up is pretty tough.

On a side note I cleared all the normal mission quest in that Kuuka event, but the hard is, well, hard. Can't finish the boss in one battle, as well. Maybe when I level the team to 30.

About ranking up (for the aformentioned characters at least), do you need to be conservative or you can just proceed without worry?

Edit: oh, is it normal that when I tap the drop-able item from a stage, no kinds of information comes out? e.g. I tap Kokkoro's shard, no 'Kokkoro's Memory Shard - something something' popped out.
I actually need to tab in and out of the equipment screen in order to know the name of some of the new girls e_e

For now, don't worry about it and just rank up as much as possible. You'll eventually reach a point where certain characters should be left at a rank lower than the maximum possible at the time, but you won't start hitting those until you're into the double-digit ranks. The maximum possible rank right now is 13-4 (rank 13 with 4 equipment slots filled, if you were confused on what the notation means) and the vast majority of the cast is best at that rank. Some characters are better at 12-6 instead, and some have more niche builds at lower ranks, which can sometimes get complicated. Here's the current chart:

I say "current" chart because the optimal ranks for each character can change as more ranks and equipment slots get released, so the chart gets updated every time that happens. But like I said, don't worry about it for now. You're a long way off from needing to know this stuff.

Whoever designed floor 239 needs to fuck off. I somehow lost two entire teams before even making it to the first boss thanks to Ayumi's bullshit. Even so, I was still able to barely beat the boss on 240 and lost the rest of my characters for the day on 243. No first day clear like I was able to pull off last time.

No idea, gear in particular is something I don't deal with much except when my depot is full and I have to start equipping whatever I can to free up space (because like hell I'm spending rubies on slots until my dock is sufficiently large).

Definitely an annoying stage, that one. Eventually made it through what felt like luck with a few crits - did borrow your (I think) Anne to do it.

Managed to one day clear it, but several stages were extremely annoying and required repeated resets to get good rng to make it. Gonna save the EX stage for another day as Luna Tower ain't fun at all at the best of times.

I'm the only person in the clan who has her set as a clan/tower support, so yeah, she was mine. I did see one other person with her set as a dungeon support, so at least I know I'm not the only person in the clan who's pulled her at all.

You can get some from the shops in OpSi. Shops have a limited inventory so the more you buy, the more likely these show up. There is also a small chance of getting them from Strongholds and Abyssal zones. I have terrible luck on these, personally. Lastly, in level 6 zones the Meowficer exploration has a miniscule chance of finding them as well. I just stick with the shops at this point unless I have a lot of time to spare. Abyssal zones can go pretty quick if you have 4 good fleets built up.

Try to remember sometime before the CB opens at least. During CB you can't join clans, so if you don't join before it starts you'll have to wait 5 more days.

Also, since I cannot clear even the Normal dungeon (cloudtop peak), I've been retreating to stockpile dungeon coins (of which you can only get two chest worth of them).

But I found with every retreat the fights en-route gets harder. Is that normal?

I got the new batch of Tower Of Luna floors done today and managed to get all of my characters to their best ranks before the double normal drops period ended tomorrow morning. I had myself a pretty productive day today.

I don't think that's actually a thing, otherwise people would never clear those dungeons until they get massively overleveled. I know the enemies you face on the way to the boss are random teams, so maybe you're just having some bad luck.

You won't be able to beat that dungeon until you level up more anyways.

Must be bad luck. I got stopped cold by the third fight when previously I could manage to beat 6th.

Currently Lv 40 max, sometimes still getting beaten by Area 4 (and beaten by 3-x Hard). I'm using the stamina to farm equipment while progressing.

Especially for Peco because she dies a lot.
It is expected because she tanks nearly everything but still.

Blue Archive does the duping job better, I guess. On top getting universal shard (eligma) you also get character shard (eleph) if you get dupes from gacha.

Hey did you guys see Shadow Brides? The company that made Illusion Connect said that they "had some regrets, and would love to make it better, and that the experience is all newly developed". Art looks slightly different, but gameplay looks the same and they have some of the same characters from IC.

Yeah I've heard of this game. The IP protection in non-licensing gacha games is pretty weak overall. It's possible they're just siphoning ideas and riding off IC's name
