Hey Sheep/Tidus - does the scan result specifically say a sword, or were you given the name of the sword? There is a world where chang is a scum character with a sword and fakeclaims Marth. If the actual result names the sword, thats a different scan altogether.

It just says the weapon type, not the name of the weapon, so he can't be confirmed as Marth.

This means Chang is still on the table as scum. If your result was Falchion, hes cleared, but your result was just a sword. He could easily be a scum character with a sword.

Yeah, having had a cursory look at the FE wiki it looks like there's four likely scum team members and one of them has a sword. Flavor meta shouldn't count for much, but I'd say if that character flips it looks a little better for Chang.

And I'd also like to add that there was no clear indication to us that there would be a flavour cop ability in this game at thee time he claimed, and with it being one shot and fairly weak I don't think it's too likely that scum have protection against it. If he picked a sword character fakeclaim with a sword character's flavour that's a very, very fortunate crapshoot

This is where I was going with it. A. If scum was scared of the scan they would have roleblocked it.

So B. Why didn't they if it would nail Chris? Then I remembered how gleefully he claimed basically unprompted. He wanted to claim and probably found the challenge fun.

But C. If Chang is scum, he didn't care about the scan either because his fake claim already aligned with what would come up.

In either case, I don't think scum cared about the flavor scan in any way. That's why I asked if red was roleblocked. If he wasn't then they had no way to stop it. So it becomes more was what it was instead of decision behind it.

Pretty much. We squeezed as much information out of it as possible, but either Chris prepared his fakeclaim well ahead of time or Chang got stupid lucky. Scum just didn't care enough to RB it and had no reason to care.

There's method to Han's madness. I do kinda get seeing him like that, but I've played enough games with him to know that it works.

If you want a little message to you so you aren't left out, I'd like to pose you the same opportunity I posed Chris earlier, but a bit more open. You're newer, so I can't hold you to the same standards, after all. Go look through the game and help us find scum. Or hell, actually defend yourself using information from the game and how it's played out, not just by getting irritated by whoever suspects you.

Everyone playing knows our arguments aren't going to be watertight, but this isn't a solved game. We have to infer, imply or otherwise try to figure out things that can be very complex. There is borderline nothing I have gleaned from the game so far, three days in, which I think indicates you're town. That is a massive problem at this stage.

Also we keep trying to wishy wash imply voting other people while I'm re-reading with my destroyed sleep schedule that I haven't been able to fix.

To sum up an even simpler reason why we are voting Chris: Scum seems to have had the power to shoot over protection. Chris has shown a high level of activity and interest in this game. Scum could have just shot him. So basically rule 1.

Also without that strongman(Which could very well be limited) you are potentially setting up a system where the masons could not die with doctor alive by saving the BG mason. The doctor claim was very clearly chris reading the situation as bad and going for the desperate play.

Oh shit I thought about the doctor/BG conflict for like three minutes when Chris first claimed and then forgot overnight. Good spot.

It is not normally a conflict. But attaching it to a mason certainly is.

Also not sure what the hate is on Han. His posts were pretty normal, mostly productive, played a decent role in making sure Death got nuked.

And hell I got pissed(And honestly a little demoralized) when he told me to start participating but also not to participate because my lack of participation made everything worthless. It still never made sense and I was really irked.

Yeah, I think I probably discarded it after trying to remember whether it was actually an issue normally and forgot about the whole mason aspect

Honestly I keep forgetting Ben is in the game and that is usually enough for me to want to lynch him three times over. I'm very glad he's confirmed and I'm not wasting more energy chasing after him.

If you didn't know better and you accept Chris as scum, you'd swear there is no way Ben is town.

I am also not convinced Mzero didn't spend the whole game invisible at this point.

Is Mzero the guy who usually late in games brings it on and is insightful as town or is that panthera?

Mzero is entirely capable but i wouldn't attach that reputation to him.

This is pretty much my only issue with MZero. I really don't think you're scum because of the Death vote, Chang would need to be obscenely lucky to avoid the scan, and Corrik just kinda feels like Town. Everyone else is in the obvtown list.

Well, I say pretty much my only issue. Obviously there's others, but that's the main one keeping me from putting him as "obviously clearly town and we should never lynch him". It's hard to consider him obviously town when he has no confirm and half the game does.

Also I can't say I trust Han's reads more than my own, necessarily, but the fact that Han thought he was scum is a bit concerning for me.

So really not my only issue at all. But still!

Fun fact. Killing a strong player that's reads were off then using their wrong reads as justification for lynches after does happen a lot. Just fyi. Han didn't have the information we have today to make his reads either. You should only put so much stock in reads from before.

I mean, I know it happens, hence why I'm not following Han's reads over my own despite him being the better player. But I think it'd also be dumb to completely ignore them.

Well, the context is that I feel pretty much nobody else has engaged with MZero so far beyond saying "yeah done nothing probably scum". So yeah. Gonna go back to confirm that.

While I went to do this, a big post from Death at the start of the last topic just caught my eye

Anyway a quick scan of these last 5 pages makes me like Muyo and Mzero somewhat more, the former echoing my sentiments about Changmas and the latter seems to have come out of his shell (so to speak)

Inversely Scare doesnt impress me at all, and Corrik also has failed to do anything that makes me want to unvote him.

Okay I like Ulti's effort values, despite the fact that he devoted some of those on me.
Chris seems to be a bit more 'going with the flow' now, but I did feel his scumhunting spirit earlier when he attacked Changmas, so I am leaning townish there.
Han I cannot read much at all and he seems a bit narrow focused on certain players, but he hasn't really done anything bad either.

If I were to name a scumteam it would have at least Corrik, Scare and Changmas
Its just that I am not sure on a 4th yet since I have something to like about everyone left.

Knowing what we know now, and with Death being under relatively little pressure at the time, this may be a really shit post for scum. I don't know for sure how much Death is likely to bus, but that scum team looks very incorrect given what we learned today. This here is kinda just shit and wishy-washy (that latter of which is very Death! but usually in a more convincing and thoughtful way), and I feel like one of the reasons Chris could be playing up the potential for scum theater between Death/Corrik is to plant the seed in our minds. Honestly, I didn't internalise that Death was trying to lynch Corrik at all yesterday, with how toothless it was. Gonna think this over a bit more, but I wouldn't be surprised if Death had no scum in his scum reads here.

I like basically all of MZero's posts in topic 3 but it makes me sad that most players have literally just not interacted with him ever.

Chris is literally the only other person I have found who likes MZero so far.
