I haven't killed the boss yet, but did an attempt where I just straight up gave up any pretense of trying to fight properly. I just beat on him. Now I just gotta bear this jerk in the Caelid Tower, just like the one in Windmill village, except without my horse to cheese. And they weren't kidding about that easy to kill dragon in Dragonbarrow, that's a ridiculous cheese to get a character ready early game. And I'm starting to notice what people are saying about health. No matter how much you have, nearly every boss kills you in two hits or one big hit regardless. Weird that Radahn and the random sword wielder tough enemy in front of this Caelid Tower boss both two shot me. Dropped a shitload of runes which I unfortunately spent on Mind instead of Intelligence but hey. Also killed that guy for Blaidd which I think I was supposed to do much earlier because that dude just melted - though admittedly with Blaidd's help. I started using one of the big ass hammers. I forget which one but it's basically a grey rectangle. It really takes some getting used to. I'm used to getting in and getting a few swings in quickly with my sword and getting out. Now I get in and just smash shit left and right and sometimes they hit me but they certainly aren't interrupting me. I did that castle in the NW of Liturnia. The one that leads to the three towers. Those hands were some of the worst enemies in a game ever. I hate them. Probably going to finally do the Academy tonight. Rennala starts off spooky and slow. Second stage is beautiful as fuck and can be methodical too. Even with heavy armor bosses like Malenia, Godfrey, and the final boss will take close to half of your health away in a hit. Staggered him really easily too when coupled with impaling thrusts.
