...just cannot be folded and the idea that they can be is a conspiracy.

For those who are confused... like I was: The biggest part this tutorial leaves out is step 2; drop the right-hand inside out corner you put under the left-hand inside out corner. With right hand now holding the left inside out corner, run left hand under seam to next inside out corner as shown... should be straight forward from here. I had to run the video at .25x speed to see that drop happen.

Nobody knows how to fold fitted sheets, that's my point. Look at this picture.

Step 2 is just a lie. Go get you a fitted sheet and try Step 1. There are no right angles.

Folding fitted sheets is really easy once you get it right. Pretend the y-axis is the longer side and x-axis is shorter:

1. Start roughly like the image above, with all the ruffles on the inside. The ruffles are the "bottom."
2. Hold it by the bottom and fold it by the y-axis so you have a long thin sheet.
3. Divide the sheet into thirds in your mind then fold one side inwards and one side outwards. It should make a kind of z-shape.
4. Grab a small laundry hamper, crumple up the sheet and throw that shit in the linen closet.
5. Done.

I'm fine with not being able to fold a fitted sheet. Never had any need to do that anyway.

My issue is getting the god damned thing to stop slipping off my matress. Specifically the top left corner. Several times a day. Every day. It's fucking infuriating.

It's a fitted sheet. It should fit the matress and stay there. I'm not a generally angry person, but when objects that were specifically designed to do one thing repeatedly and utterly fail to do that one thing, I get a bit miffed.

If I didn't think I'd ever have to take it off again, I'd staple the damn thing on.

I remember having my dad show/teach me how fold sheets like that as a kid I think. It's possible, but sucks, so just do this

I think my dad usually showed me the first one, but when he was alive I saw both I think.

They make a product called bed sheet clips that solve this problem. They're little bands/clips that go on the corners to make them extra fitted sheets

you take the edges and fold them twice over themselves and shove it in the closet. Not pretty but who the fuck has time for this shit?

Second. So I had some hope when I saw it because every other sheet apparently didn't have that elastic despite the fact that I've never seen one like that in my entire life. But no, it's just more horseshit from that lying bitch.
