I remember having my dad show/teach me how fold sheets like that as a kid I think. It's possible, but sucks, so just do this

Folding fitted sheets is really easy once you get it right. Pretend the y-axis is the longer side and x-axis is shorter:
1. Start roughly like the image above, with all the ruffles on the inside. The ruffles are the "bottom."
2. Hold it by the bottom and fold it by the y-axis so you have a long thin sheet.
3. Divide the sheet into thirds in your mind then fold one side inwards and one side outwards. It should make a kind of z-shape.
4. Grab a small laundry hamper, crumple up the sheet and throw that shit in the linen closet.
5. Done.
