It's a fitted sheet. It should fit the matress and stay there. I'm not a generally angry person, but when objects that were specifically designed to do one thing repeatedly and utterly fail to do that one thing, I get a bit miffed.

If I didn't think I'd ever have to take it off again, I'd staple the damn thing on.
They make a product called bed sheet clips that solve this problem. They're little bands/clips that go on the corners to make them extra fitted sheets
