I just realised I was a kid when I played the original FF7, but I am only 7 years from being twice Cloud's age

I watched Bio Dome the other night.

It's okay though because based off JRPG logic, Cloud is actually 27 at the youngest.

Occasionally I'll listen to an musician and really dig it, but then they mention something like studying or high school and it's like holy hell that was over a decade ago (even for college).

Only one cast member of Gilligan's Island is still alive.

A few months ago a new person at work asked how old I was and I had to stop and think about it

Watching old movies with actors I grew up seeing in film and TV, I often find myself noticing how young they looked, almost no matter what age they were at the time
I just saw Joe vs the Volcano for the first time and experienced this with Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan, and Abe Vigoda

That said, things like that don't make me feel old, they just remind me that I'm older. I feel the same as I did as a teenager, mostly, aside from making more rational decisions, mostly

Always being so tired and unenergetic. When I was a child I had so much energy I couldn't sit still. Now I don't even like getting up and moving because my body always feels tired. Im definitely old.

The entire plot of FF8 revolves around two governments using high schoolers to fight each other, and the most seasoned vets are 18 and 19 year olds that are captains and shit already

When my kid started high school and is as old as her mother when we met.

17 years ago was the start of senior year of hs which doesn't feel that long ago, but 17 years from now I'm gonna be in my 50s

That and the adults from your childhood looking like grandparents now. It doesn't sink in when I look at my parents because they still look young and can easily pass for people in their mid 40s, but everybody else is starting to look like a fossil

I still don't see how that can be true. There's a 19 year old in my class who is one if the dumbest people ive ever encountered and even she can do that fine.

I'm pretty sure my nephew can do that shit and he's 9.
