Tricky because you have to get it exactly right. Back in like May a Japanese player posted a nice visual setup video on Twitter using cues for where to aim your camera as you approached this shot. Unfortunately he closed his account some time over the summer and the video was lost. I already had a decent score using it, but it sucks not being able to explain it easily to newer players. This is the only known 4 star so you have to do it one way or the other.

This is just an idle pose, but Wooper sure makes it look exciting. They used to do this shot in the cave in Jungle Night before realizing that this spot could give slightly better stats.

It looks like there's a lot going on here, but really it's just the "happy after eating" pose. You can get all of the Inkays together by orbing all the ones that you pass on the course, but I don't think that they really do anything worthwhile. So they're just bonus points here.

I'm really amused by that Magikarp photo being worth so many points - I mean, your explanation of why it is that way is really good, but it's still just super funny because it results in a photo that kind of looks like shit being worth 5.6k points

Orb it and it yells at you. Two people are tied at 5030, and the only difference in stats is 997/2000 instead of 998/1999. This shot would look nicer if that stalagmite wasn't blocking that exact spot.

Wailord spouts some water with a rainbow on top, which counts for background. Interestingly, this rainbow has been used in other shots to add background where there otherwise wouldn't be any.

All 4 of the Gardevoir shots are in the same spot, with different parts of this interaction. This is the highest record of the four of them (also the only one that I haven't 5k'd? I need to fix that).

...Actually you know what else I just realized? This is the same person who got the Gardevoir 4* record last week (I saw that one when it was posted but apparently missed this one). They're a relatively newish player (I don't think they're even in the community Discord) and that was their first WR, this being their second. That just proves that it's not too late for anyone to jump into high scoring even with how good the top players are.

Camp sucks, and its flaws become evident when you look at a range of its shots. So many of them are "lure the Pokemon to the middle and get it to do its thing with the 2 Neo-Ones in the background". That's what happens when your course is basically only 1 screen big, no room for variety. All things considered, Stoutland is one of the less painful ones to lure in Camp, but still, this is pure Camp.

I know that the old version was an automatic interaction on research level 1 where they yelled at Tyrantrum. But this one... I'm not exactly sure what's going on, and the note is kind of confusing. It seems that you're luring 2 of them (with synergy) closer together so you can take them in front of the bloom instead of where they normally stand.

There's a weird thing you can do by luring Cutiefly close to the watering trough and throwing an apple on top of one of the edges. Since Cutiefly flies it can actually go up onto it, which raises it higher than its normal flying height. Then as it starts flying back to its original area, you intercept its path (that's how you get so close) and play melody to make it dance. Of course you have to do this all in the typical "Camp spot" to get the 2 Neo-Ones in the background. Note: WR is 5544 but I just don't have the picture handy.

This is probably an unpopular opinion but I actually like doing attempts on this one and the 4* that's in the same spot. Compared to most other underwater luring this seems relatively not too bad. The 2* animation looks downwards, which is nice because the path itself starts going down from this point, so you can get better direction than you would from flat land.

I really like Lental Seafloor but I hate having to redo it for a specific shot because it takes so long to get to the later bits, the Starmie/Tentacruel part is thankfully pretty close to the start.

One time while messing around in camp I somehow got Stoutland on top of the watering trough by doing this lol. It just teleported itself up there.

I've heard of isolated instances of people getting it with Audino and Trubbish too (and Stoutland on top of a Neo-One). Cutiefly is the only one that can be done consistently and in a normal enough looking way that we can pretend that it wasn't unintended.

The only Lanturn that's not in front of the ruins area, so it should be easier to set up than them. But there's such a I don't want to say a stigma, more like a common "I don't feel like doing this" feeling in the community regarding all the shots in the last area of Undersea. I genuinely think that this shot and other similar ones are a bit underplayed, relatively, purely due to where in the level they occur, and not due to difficulty. I've read multiple people saying that Undersea is their course with the largest differentials due to shots like this that they just haven't put serious attempts into.

(That being said, this shot is good. I mean like in a random sampling of top players, you're more likely to find people who don't have a good one.)

Undersea is one of my favorite courses for how long and varied it is, but those strengths definitely become weaknesses even when you're just trying to fill out the photodex in regular gameplay. Running it over and over for one specific shot late in the course sounds painful.

Wow that's an impressive Lanturn photo!

I too can see why people wouldn't wanna bother. The professor needs to include an extra turbo setting on the Neo-one that allows us to fly through a course in seconds.

Or just add extra warp-in points so we could simply start at the undersea cavern.

The seasons room is one of those areas that redefined a bunch of shots once people realized the potential that it has for backgrounds. You have a guaranteed Crystabloom, and a high ceiling for Other Pokemon depending on how much you're able (or willing) to manipulate the Sawsbuck and Deerling while also luring your target Pokemon into position. There's a Trevenant that walks in front of the path that you can put to sleep with melody, and it stops you for like 20-30 seconds. Once it wakes up, you can put it to sleep a second time for more stalling. After the second time it doesn't respond and walks out of the way, but that's nearly a full minute of non-moving that you don't get anywhere else in the game.

I'm willing to give Ninetales a pass because it's pretty boring otherwise (same poses but in the middle of winter with nothing in the back). This is probably the best looking out of the 4 poses. Also the pic that I posted isn't the record (it's 5366) but this pic is bigger so you can see what's going on in the back.

The moon is background here. All you really have to do for this one is time it so the Vivillon group reaches there when you're in the right position.
