Walking along, see this. How nice, makes up for being chased by that huge Ursuring earlier , it's surprisingly fast

While hunting for Shiny Alpha Heracross/Lopunny found 3 Shiny combee and finally got a female one. That's pretty lucky since a 11% chance for female and it was none outbreak and no shiny charm.

And, no, there are zones to the above question.

Still working on getting all dex entries to level 10. Have about 20 more mons.

Just got the final star and shiny charm earlier today. It was a very enjoyable game.

EDIT: Anybody know if there's a cap on item spawns or something in Time Distortions? I'm fishing for evo stones and have had extremely mixed results. Sometimes I find items consistently the entire time I'm in one, sometimes it seems to peter out well before the distortion vanishes

As far as I can tell all the items spawn in the first few seconds. If you "keep finding items" it's because you overlooked some earlier.

Was shiny hunting an eevee when suddenly there was a gardevoir outbreak to the north.

Had to pivot to that. The route to get there is tedious since it's right by Snowpoint Temple, but I've found a path with Sneasler to climb up the waterfall from the camp.

Now I just need to keep resetting the outbreak and hope for the best.

Longest amount of time ive ever spent in a single pokemon game.

almost 90 hours, but i caught everything.

THats my experience as well.

Thought this game looked pretty s*** and was not going to get it. Then I ran out of games and decided why not.

This game is pretty damn fun and addicting.

If they could combine all mechanics and gameplay from this, map & roster from a mainline and the Pokemon interactions from Snap, it would make the greatest game Ive played in a long time.

Removes the red X from wild Pokemon so you can throw a PokeBall at them without having to battle.

Throw just 2-3 at an aggro'd legendary, they go passive and you can circle around and pop them with a gigaton ball. Hasn't failed yet. Works at alpha's too.

does foggy weather only affect me? and is it like a 50% reduction in accuracy? god DAMN i can't hit a barn in this shit

That's what I get for ignoring those things.

So I've got 95 pokemon in the Cobalt Coastlands, but I still don't have a red stamp on the pokedex for that region. How many pokemon does this region have? I'm looking at lists online and I have them all...

I didn't even know that she gives you a reward for every 10 you collect until I was done, LMAO

I might eventually go for a perfect dex. I almost have a living dex just from going for completion.

Shiny hunting is a lot of fun. I'm doing outbreaks right now but I might switch to standing alphas. I'll wanna perfect those first before doing them.

On a related note, I would love to see a patch for this game that gives you an optional hard mode save file. Pokemon levels scale even higher (up to 100 in the last/postgame) and are more aggressive in the wild. More wild alpha pokemon spawn (both a boon and a bane if you wanna catch them all!). Lose more items when you black out (and they can't be found by other players online).

The base game wasn't easy per-se, but I found myself pretty overleveled when I made it to the end since there's so much to see and do between story missions.

Remove the 'more aggressive' part and I'd agree.

Sometimes it's a bit annoying having an army of Paras chasing me through the forest when I'm trying to hunt for mons lol.

Yeah thats gonna be rough.

Good luck with that anyhow, and just in case you didnt know (unlikely but maybe someone else could need it) some wisps can only be gotten during nighttime.

Something i didnt find out until later.

If youre using a guide to go through the sections, you could tag any locations you dont find anything, just in case.

Step 0: disable autosave

1) Go to desired outbreak's region
2) Save manually at the camp
3) Travel to outbreak
4) Catch (or defeat) pokemon in outbreak until shiny/alpha appears or they are all gone**
5) If you got your desired pokemon, congrats! You're done! If not, go to 6.
6) Without saving, close the game and reload your save.
7) Talk to prof and return to jubilife. Don't save.
8) Check the map, 4 out of 5 times your outbreak will still be there. In the case where it's not, quit and reload your save again and repeat steps 7 and 8. It should show up again within a few attempts.
9) Repeat steps 1-8 until you get your desired pokemon.

**Catching/defeating/running away does technically change the outcome of the rest of the outbreak, but it doesn't matter in the long run unless you make a mistake. If you do make a mistake and lose your shiny, then reload your save and return to the outbreak without going back to jubilife. Then, do the same thing you did the first time (catch, faint, or run away in the same order) and your shiny will return to you.

Remember. Save at the camp. Do not save inside the outbreak. Even if you miss the shiny you can find it again as long as you load from the camp (do not go back to town if you're reloading to catch a shiny you already saw that got away, just go straight to the outbreak)

Just beat it.

What a different experience from the typical game.

• This is the first game where I haven't been itching to turn off battle animations
• I love how different Pokmon actually have different personalities in the wild. Some are docile and won't stack. Some are timid and will run. Some are aggressive and will attack.
• The material throwing parts actually have a bit of a challenge.
• Can't just chill out in the wild or you'll die
• The large alpha Pokmon are actually pretty fearsome, especially early on.
• The quality of life improvements were mostly great.
• I wish you could travel directly between regions instead of having to go back to the village every time
• Lots of fetch quests

This is my favorite Pokmon game so far.

Is there a way to switch zones without having to go to the village first.

Even the mons who are docile have unique personalities. Like someone in the previous topic said, Psyduck will either attack or just stare depending on their nature.

I also love how some mons will actively walk up to you like 'wtf is dis'.

Yeah. That was a great added detail.

I also really like the idea of doing research on each Pokmon. Either catch a bunch, defeat a bunch, or use them in specific ways to complete the research for it.

So, what did everyone's team wind up looking like at completion?

Very odd mix at the time, since i was catching the legendaries before Arceus

But i definitely remember Lilligant, Alpha Gardevoir, Alpha Garchomp and some other stuff

But most prominently, by the time i did hit the final battle, lvl 100 Typhlosion (as i had hit Survey Rank 10 just before it) with full EL Levels, and Arceus at lvl 75 still did noticeable damage and i couldnt oneshot.

I just caught a shiny Dustox this morning. YouTube was right, mass outbreak farming is an easy way to get shinies.

I agree and disagree here. The convenience would be good, but forcing you to return to the village every time is how you observed it change over time. New buildings, New side quests, New shop selection. You would miss out on a lot of content if you spent all your time in the wild.

Also I'm sure it played a role in reducing loading times.
