Seems a certain member from HoloID accidentally revealed her face via a reflection in an unboxing stream. The stream was privated of course, but seems people unfortunately took to bullying her about it, which is why the HoloID twitter page said they'll take legal actions if the harassment continues.

Man the Apex Vtuber tourney #4 reveals are freaking wild

Towa's teammates are freaking Aqua and Suisei. Suisei frankly isn't very good lmao, but she's the type of person to at least learn ultra quick. Her highest rank was Gold 4 tho it seems >.>

Astel's teammates are Rene and Tenjin Kotone. Kotone was Matsuri's teammate last tournament, where Astel heckled them constantly during scrims. They played together during the random teammate shuffle and had really good synergy, so this team should be fun to watch. Seems Astel has already declared that he's going Mad Maggie lmfao. He's fallen in complete love with this character and plays her better than anybody I've seen somehow

Also Matsuri and Hoshikawa are finally playing a tournament together lmao. Legit first time in competitive I think?

Kanae and Uruha from BIG*STAR are on the same team, which is pretty scary. I'd imagine they're the favorites.

Oh yeah, and Reimu from NijiEN is joining Kurumi Noah's team. I wonder how this managed to happen, since Noah isn't even Nijisanji. Oh Ex Albio is on the same team, so I guess it's possible he invited Reimu

suisei might not be great ( though even then I think gold4 is probably above average in hololive) but she's pretty comprtitive and takes this sort of thing pretty seriously. the really important part though is that I can't really imagine aqua playing with anyone else. aqua + towa is weird enoguh already

I'm still cheering for kotone though, by which I mean I probably won't watch much but at least it might make her stream a little more often leading up to it

Nijisanji is much less insular than Hololive, they seem to pretty regularly collab out-of-company. NijiEN's had quite a few collabs with VShojo and other EN indies already, and the JP speaking ones seem to collab out of company a good bit with JP Vtubers. Granted it's probably because they don't really shoot for the whole "idol" thing being the only reason they're allowed to do that.

Suisei has wanted to attend one of these tournaments for the longest time. She primarily watches Matsuri play whenever there's a VSaikyo it seems. But she admits that she never really figured out how to be good at Apex and is prone to Ollie levels of panic lol. It's possible Towa invited Suisei first, cuz they're really close, and Suisei convinced Aqua.

Meh in terms of Apex, Holo collabs just as much with outside of Holo. In this tournament alone, Matsuri is teaming with Hoshikawa, and Astel is collabing with Kotone, who is indie, and that Rene girl from that one org that I can't remember name of but knew about.

In terms of EN, considering the members are slamming Holo bh their backs, I'm not surprised why it doesn't happen. That's the side effect of Niji being mostly non-glorified civilian type people I guess.

Towa got a team leader spot and aqua wanted to join but was too awkward to say anything directly so just made a bunch of comments to towa about how cool it was she got the spot and how she'd definitely make a good team and etc etc until towa caught on and invited her. and then aqua thought about who else she thought she'd be comfortable playing with and invited suisei

Lmao of course Towa caught the signal. That's pretty cute that Aqua thought to invite Suisei. That's how VSaikyo should be done after all. There are like 2-3 competitive teams and the rest tend to be kitchensink what-if type of collabs.

Well the points rules stay pretty consistent throughout VTuber infused tournaments, including ones that are a bit more competitive like things hosted by Reignite or Crazy Raccoon.

Otherwise the only time points feel arbitrary is past Master rank, where usually ppl use metrics like whether or not the player is pro-level or probably a Pred-level player unwilling to grind for it (which is where they're considered 10 pts or above), or they were Pred like ages ago. I think Pros or recent Preds are 12 pts.

Master is 8-10 pts. It's usually 8 pts if they didn't solo to Master, which is why ppl like Matsuri or Meika are 8 pts. People who solo'd to Master are 9-10 pts depending on how often they did it and whether or not they did it recently. Seems Aqua is 10 pts, probably because she basically sailed through D2 to Master while Solo, and pretty recently at that.

Astel Solo'd to Masters like 3 times by now and probably would've been Pred if he cared, so he's usually considered 10 pts, along with Pakael, but he managed to negotiate with ShibuHal to get it down to 9 lmao

They need this type of pt system because on the first VSaikyo, VGorilla and his team of Master level players basically just ran through the entire competition with 0 effort.

The show part of the Holofest is currently going. The free part had the whole day 1 group singing SSS of course, and there was a performance from Fubuki/Marine, Kanata, Polka, Korone, Matsuri/Subaru/Nene, then the free part ended

Got it! Thanks for the info, I didn't pay much attention because I wasn't really interested in watching the concert.

I find out about the strangest and obscure games from watching Vtubers outside of Hololive and Nijisanji. A few days ago I watched Tsukushi Aria and a more recent Re:AcT talent Kulaku Lie playing Fight Animals, Lie herself really needs more love, I really like her singing and incorporates singing in her ASMR.
