They need generational formats like the Vets play with pendulum and link banned

Even after MR4 Yugiboomers cry about pendulum despite pendulum having no real meta presence beyond rogue for like 2 years now.

Like we're at a point where Drytron is ritual summoning a monster with Solemn Judgment's effect (Herald of Ultimateness) from the GY, and Adamancipator literally picks through their deck and takes the cards they want, but God forbid they see a monster with green on it.

How about go play World Chalice it's a Link archetype built around managing Normal monsters, it's literally designed for the yugiboomer brain to comprehend.

Don't worry about learning pendulum because Konami prints one pendulum archetype every two years and the latest is a waifu archetype which means it won't actually be meta (no reason to make waifus OP because neckbeards will buy them anyway, very smart business).

The rule for modern day yugioh: whoever goes first wins since they can summon multiple monsters with effects that can shutdown the opponent on the second turn

Back in my day a dual would last a few turns and you had to outwit them not just build a broken board and FTK them.

And that's why they created the ban list to stop degenerate combos from pulling FTKs OTKs. Yes we have a ban list right now but the degeneracy is worse than it's ever been

Anyway yeah the best decks in Master Duel are too consistent, in terms of improving the meta first things first needed is immediately ban:

-True King of All Calamities
-Meteonis Drytron (or the heralds)
-Block Dragon
-Union Carrier
-Pot of Prosperity (this card rewards archetypes that are already consistent while conflicting with decks that actually rely on the uncertainty of drawing, mark my words this will be limited or banned in TCG, if they're limiting Desires of all things then this card is too much)
-Maybe Apollousa and Borreload (since they're the king and queen of generic "you can't play Yugioh" boards, although really they're more the canary in the coal mine if decks can afford to make them so easily, eg hitting Block Dragon to stop adamanc from doing this)

If you play IRL then those cards are expensive but it's an expensive game anyways and this is about master duel.

Also TC you can play Chaos Lightsworn. Just don't expect oonga boonga judgment dragon to always win you games. Lesser decks have made platinum.

I like Six Samurai because of Duel Links where it had gotten me to King of Games rank. How viable is it here

If you go first and youre lucky (draws, not getting hand trapped) you can pull off an infinite loop resulting in an FTK, or if your opponent Maxx C's you you can deck them out lol.

I also hear they can pull off Rhongobongo since infinite summons and warriors

Thinking to add Gameciel in my Sky Striker deck until H.A.M.P comes out. Gameciel can work similarly to it as it can be special summoned on the opponents field

Not necessarily, there's also that uh. Snow girl that is a hand trap like ash. And effect veiler. And a nibiru if your deck can't handle other decks that go for mass special summon spam.

I would say yes in the master duel format. Only exception would be if youre playing a slow, control deck.

Yeah VFD needs to go. Same with Rhongobongo despite it being "ineffective" in the OCG.

Main hits for Drytron are Benten (1 is okay) and Eva. I hear they get gutted in bo3 format too so hopefully it's coming soon.

Haven't played much against Block Dragon (Adamancipators) or Union Carrier to carry an opinion. Apolloussa doesn't really see much play cuz of how relatively easy it is to out and Borreload Savage can stay since OPT isn't too bad all things considered compared to a lot of things.

Absolutely not. Limiting special summons from the extra deck almost killed the game when links came out.

Honestly if you miss old school yugioh, maybe this isnt the game for you.

Or they could just implement the TCG banlist. Our banlist is the best one and is the most balanced list. The OCG list fucking sucks.

I agree. Keeps combo decks in check in case you can't draw Ash/Imperm/Nibiru right away

We must be playing a different game, because Maxx C absolutely does not keep combo decks "in check". In fact, Maxx C has made combo decks stronger, because it allows the OCG to keep broken cards like VFD, Rhongo, Block Dragon, and various combo extenders that are limited in the TCG to remain unhit in their banlist.

Meanwhile, Maxx C also makes the gap between Tier 1 combo decks to lower tier combo decks larger, because T1 decks can still end on decent boards under Maxx C, while weaker decks need to SS more times to make competent boards. People are enjoying Maxx C in MD right now because it's singles and not really competitive, but if this game gets competitive matches, everyone will grow extremely tired of Maxx C because matches will be decided on if you open Maxx C or not.

Well I'm focused on MD right now so I'm enjoying it lol. Tier 1 decks will always be tier 1 decks so meh

I haven't played against it myself, but simorgh the bird of sovereignty is pretty nuts.

Especially when backed by a untargetable barrier statue. That are toxic in and of themsevles.

You can do some pretty nutty things with Six Sams still. Sadly the banlist is like a weird hybrid btwn TCG/OCG, and despite OCG having Gateway at 3 (I think? they certainly used to though) MD banlist has it at 1.

But when you draw gateway and it doesn't get Ash'd, you just won. Six Sams can still do infinite loops with Mizuho and Shinai, which you can eventually reach 5 materials with Rhongomyniad turn 1 and just essentially end the duel right there.

Maxx C is still the most polarizing card in the game it seems. There are legit arguments for both sides, and people have to accept that a card being in the meta and out of it just creates sideways changes, not up or down. Maxx C not being in the game just strengthens combo decks. It won't make the meta better. It's also not OP because plenty of decks atm just lay down a few monsters and end turn. Not much Maxx C does there aside from maybe being a 1 for 1

Maxx C is balanced because every time I activate it my opponent has Ash Blossom or Called by the Grave :P

Of course my alt account would open up a bunch of URs I wanted the first time I did a 10 pull on a generic pack.

I'm convinced that new accounts have some sort of rarity bonus, like how drug dealers always make sure to give you good shit for your first hit before selling you crap.

I tried to make Shaddolls on an alt and pulled all the URs I needed in 2 10-pulls
