Honestly if it was gonna be any of them, I would have bet it would have been him.

I think it was a case of "accidental" pedo, but he was apparently grooming them young so *shrug* fuck 'im.

Also, this happened a while ago. He and Adam Kovic got exposed around the same time.

Edit: Adam got exposed for be a general scumbag, not a pedo.

People can't pedo by accident, since it's pretty easy to tell the difference between a prepubescent individual and a post-pubescent individual.

Super old news, and it's way more nuanced than that, but yeah, he was a bit of a problem.

Arguably he was just living the rock star lifestyle to some degree and banging fans/groupies in precisely the same way rock stars and wrestlers used to (when it was seen as being perfectly acceptable/normal), but because his "stardom" was rooted in playing video games on YouTube/Twitch, it meant his fans were generally younger (and generally at least some what socially inept/psychologically damaged). That, combined with how cancel-happy the Internet-savvy fanbase tends to be (and how massively SJW in general RT has gotten over the last few years), means he was pretty much mega-doomed the moment it came out.

Though his case wasn't helped by the fact that he was cheating on his wife at the time, and that he was apparently a bit of a shitbag when it came to how he treated the girls in bed.

From what's been revealed online, though, it seems like he only ever really slept with one underaged girl, and she herself openly admitted that she lied to him about her age. There were a couple of other accusations but they were debunked pretty quickly. So it doesn't seem like he was actively looking for underage girls (but he was also apparently pretty fine with "barely legal"). But it also seems like he was grooming at least a bit, in the sense that he was willing to talk to underage girls to grease the wheels so they'd be more interested/likely to meet up with him once they turned legal.

Nah - he always came across as being pretty wholesome when he wasn't putting on the exaggerated evil sociopath character in Minecraft or GTA videos. There's plenty of other people at Rooster Teeth I would have predicted would get nailed for that sort of thing long before it would be him.

Hell, he wasn't even the only one in Achievement Hunter who was banging fans - Geoff hooked up with a couple (after his divorce) and Jack married one. But they seem like they were better at keeping themselves under control than Ryan was, and mostly avoided criticism by sticking to older fans. And way back in the day, Ray dated at least a couple fans as well (or at least it was implied he did).

With Ryan, even in spite of the jokes about him and Meg having an affair behind Gavin's back, the others always sort of tended to emphasize how he was a loyal husband and a good dad, a bit whipped, etc. So he didn't really seem like the type that would be sleeping around, let alone sleeping around with younger fans. It wasn't really until the last year or so that some of the clues started becoming a bit more obvious. And after the reveal everyone just sort of went backwards and read hidden meaning into literally everything he ever said or did or the things other people said about him.

Though it didn't really help just how much the fanbase oversexualized him and talked about his "daddy energy" sometimes. Which probably makes all the people who wanted a body pillow of him feel kind of bad now.

tbh, your entire description of the story makes me interested in actually learning about somebody I'd never heard of who's involved in shit I go out of my way to avoid watching (and Rooster Teeth is the only thing I recognize because I think that's the shitty podcast or whatever AEW does commercials for, which was often just the same one with Scorpio Sky and made Scorpio look like goof... well, before he hooked up with Dan Lambert and became a goof).
