Zeus accounts make up too much of their customer base

They never ban anyone with high karma unless they do like an account suicide. But even in more recent years I've seen people post nudity and not get banned. I don't think Mead started getting banned until she made a bunch of newer accounts

Yeah I still get mad sometimes that they banned my account lol. Not like seriously mad but I'm like damn that's messed up. I mean if I'm gonna be a loser who posts on this site for 15 years I wish I at least had the account to prove it!

Every few months, one of the resident trolls goes back over everything I've posted in the last month or two and marks everything while making outrageous claims misinterpreting my posts. Sometimes they get lucky, usually they don't -- which often depends on whether the mod reads the post in question, or -- seeing the length -- just decides to read the report. I've often had mods reference things that weren't even close to what I said.

The level of spin this time must be outrageous, given what the mod claimed.

It's just the normal kinds of bullshit I have to put up with from my "fan club," who also once made 50 nearly-identical accounts to abuse the mention system, which is why I was happy when they added the option to turn off mentions. (Which timeline-wise, I assumed was a CE visitor because he was the first to keep doing that and the alts all mirrored his activity, but they likely just copied him.)

I thought some of the nonsense would calm down once they-whose-name-must-not-be-mentioned "left," but, of course, they didn't really leave at all and some of their collaborators certainly aren't going anywhere.

But the moderation on this site is bizarre. The mods didn't take offense to posters threatening/advocating/suggesting violence/death against other posters, they didn't react when posters advocated murdering politicians, they've left up posts where posters joke about wanting to torture children and animals, etc -- basically leaving you to wonder if the site is moderated at all -- and then you wind up getting in trouble for things people didn't believe you got modded for, such as the previous big one where you had a hundred page topic where to the end people insisted I couldn't have been modded -- let alone suspended -- for what I was modded for.

Overlooking your trolling (which, by the way, would be an example of a remark that could've got me modded with the right spin), keep in mind that even PotD can have posts going back months. Oguri's old Simpsons topic was over a year-old when it finally purged.

hard to judge the situation when you're not saying what you got modded for. I always just talk about it after without repeating the offense.

last time I got suspended was for posting a cartoon of a giant cock with someone pouring apple cider vinegar on it in the "montana man" topic.

Again, you routinely say things that would get in my trouble if I reposted them, and there been times when I was warned for QUOTING somebody and agreeing (without saying a word myself) where the original post with the supposed "offensive" original content was left up intact.

You can pretend all you like -- and maybe in SOME cases like yours it's just a matter you don't have people marking you at all -- but even I've marked death threats the Gamefaqs staff decided to leave up, so clearly it's more than just that.

Not that I feel like engaging with anymore of your trolling, so I'm adding you to my ignore list -- in no small part because having done the things you've done in the past, lecturing anybody about "being nice" is just straight-up over-the-time hypocrisy.

Give a general idea instead of going into specifics. I really find that it completely depends how I discuss it afterwards. I've been modded for explaining my moderation too explicitly, for sure.

Mead started getting banned when the psychotic break occurred and the suicide threats started.

After that and an axe, future moderations are always going to be a bit shoot-on-sight.

Mead's lucky this isn't the Good Old Days when they'd kill every new account you made after an axe the moment you admitted who you actually were.

They eased up on that after they kind of stopped giving a shit about the site in general, though. That's how Duckbear managed to slink back and become a nuisance again after officially being kill-on-sight for years.

just a reminder: one time not too long ago, zeus got modded. he wanted to post the entire moderation thing, and we told him that if he did, he would be modded again since posting moderation details isn't allowed

he adamantly called everyone a liar, posted it, and promptly got the account he was using banned.
