I dont understand why its so particularly hard to be able to accept that a trans woman is a woman while also understanding that the characteristic of her being trans means there are certain innate characteristics that will influence every part of life, dating and sexual relations especially. The only gray area here is that some people might be comfortable with it but might be dismissing it out of hand because of their preconceived notions. Other people, it simply does not mesh with them and will never mesh with them, and that should be just as acceptable.

For the most part, they can be defined as straight. If you wanted to strictly define their sexuality, it'd probably be something for which we probably don't have a set word, but like "straight pan" which seems to be an actual thing people use according to Google.

Only a trans person can withhold the fact that they are trans. So yes, it would only apply to them. Although, if there would be a case of someone who isn't trans somehow leading someone to believe they were one sex and somehow using that to assault them sexually, I imagine that you could use the same laws against them.

It's not sexual assault or rape, you're literally advocating for people to say well after the fact that they felt gross and that they should lock up trans people for not throwing ourselves at the mercy of every cis person we get intimate with.

If a trans girl named Lilith transitioned at 30 should she be forced to tell every woman she had sex with while she was pretending to be a man that she was trans and as such they had sex with a woman without knowing and thus might have compromised their sexual orientation by retroactively having made them engage in lesbian sex?

Trying to get a feel for what dealbreakers are rape. I actually think it would be insane for people to tell one-night stands or brand new partners every personal detail. Being trans is something incredibly personal and not everyone is comfortable talking about thing before trust is established.

People have sex with people that doesn't work out or dates/relationships that fail every single day. To demand that trans people, and only trans people, give up their privacy and do all the leg work to make sure no one is accidentally attracted to them is bullshit.
