Is Laura a MILF?

This was the moment when 54 y/o Science Teacher, Laura Parker Russo from Long Island jabbed her son's 17 y/o friend with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine without his parent's consent!!

She's caused outrage over the incident after administering the dose despite not being a health care professional and without the boy's parents consent

She is seen smiling and saying "There you go, at home vaccine""

The vaccine is only recommended for adults and apparently gave the vaccine on New Year's Eve.

Police said it was an authentic vaccine and it's unclear how she obtained it

She's a Herricks High School Biology Teacher and was arrested and charged after the teen returned home and told his mother about the shot and his mother said she did not give permission or authority to have her son injected with a covid vaccine and called police.

The mother of 6 was arrested and charged under state education law with unauthorzed practice of a profession and is set to appear in court

Herricks Public Schools said that she has since been removed from the classroom and reassigned

She's married to John Russo, a NY realtor who in an online bio said they are raising a "brady bunch famly"

Dr. Aaron Glatt said the amateur injection could have more serious consequences and said it was not a smart thing to do stating they have to know how to give these vaccines properly and in the muscle part of their arm and not to mention how she obtained it will raise serious questions

Is Laura a MILF?

Which means the charge has less than a 0.0000000000000000000001% chance of sticking. Because that isn't a law. At all.

Also, it doesn't take much in the way of "practicing medicine" to inject someone with a needle. It's basic shit. I would hardly argue you even need practice, and for what it's worth, all that would really be doing to "protect their profession" or whatever, is all the other monotonous BS they have to go through (such as working at a facility, etc) which is unnecessary shit anyway so.

The actual injection doesn't take a huge amount of expertise (though there are some nuances to it, namely making sure you aren't injecting an IM dose into a vein), but it is good to have the necessary knowledge to respond appropriately if something goes wrong. That gets quite a bit more complicated and often requires very quick decisions, which laypeople are rarely capable of (if the necessary equipment is even available).

In a similar vein, driving isn't exactly hard. Push gas to go, push brake to stop, turn wheel to steer, try not to hit anything. When driving does become more difficult, however, is when unusual situations or problems arise, and those take education, practice, and a knowledge of the law to resolve safely. As such, there's a licensing system for driving that makes sure people have been educated, have practiced, and know the law before they're allowed to drive. That system is... less than robust, in many cases, and road tests often don't actually test students' driving ability so much as they test their ability to follow a bunch of prescriptive rules that often *shouldn't* be followed in everyday driving (like "never speed ever"), but that's the basic theory, and it's reasonably sound.

Giving a vaccine when you are not authorized to give one is stupid.

Kid doesnt even get a vaccine card so its kinda worthless to him.

Not really. The vaccine card isnt the on out reason to get it. Having lesser symptoms if he catches it is a pretty worthwhile reason to get it As is having a less chance to catch it is

He gets the immunity (albeit the weakest of the major 4 options), but without any way to prove that, he's not going to be able to access any services that require the card, plus he shouldn't get a different vaccine until enough time has elapsed for a booster dose, so he can't rectify that any time soon. It's not totally worthless, no, but it's still a stupid idea, especially where it's not like it's hard for him to get a different vaccine properly.

Depends where you are. Around here, it's pretty standard for restaurants and other places that are supposed to require it, but we've got a government that's actually been pretty good about trying to stop Covid (at least until recently, since the new premier seems content to throw his hands up and say there's nothing he can do to stop the current, massive explosion of cases, which I'm sure is totally unrelated to the number of people that voted for him under the belief that he would lift all Covid restrictions entirely despite that not actually being a part of his platform). In much of the US, though, local governments are actively resisting the idea of requiring it, so it's not happening so much.

It did occur to me that that could have been an issue. Presumably, he did want it, since otherwise there would be an assault charge thrown in there (non-consensual poinking is no bueno), but depending on the local laws, I could see him being unable to make that decision for himself. I think 16 is the cutoff for medical self-determination around here (with some exceptions, like anything sex-related can be done without parental involvement at any age), but it wouldn't surprise me if it's 18 in some states.

Yeah. Like I know my current state is saying mask are optional in most places. But if my hometown, mask are mandatory. But I still havent seen any vaccine mandatory places. Which Im glad for. I have a vaccine card, but left it in my truck, which I currently dont have. And the card is bulky, so I can even put it in my wallet
