On that list, I played Mario Bros as a kid (mainly the original through to Super Mario World), and the first three Dragon Quest (aka Dragon Warrior) games. To a lesser extent the first three Zelda games, and the original couple of versions of Street Fighter 2, before all the constant re-releasing got ridiculous (and before Mortal Kombat sort of took over as the huge fighting game).

I wouldn't say I played them "a lot", though. I'd never really have described any of them as my "favorite" even at the time.

Final Fantasy is definitely a series I played the shit out of when I was younger, though. And which has been pretty much dead to me since XII.

From older times (mainly in my 20s to mid-30s) Halo was a huge part of my gaming life (I played every game in the franchise, read all of the novels, etc), but that's pretty much been dead to me since Halo 4. And you could probably throw the entirety of Bioware as a company into that same time period - it basically went from being my favorite developer ever to becoming a company I wish would just die already.

Final Fantasy died to me when my childhood ended.
If anyone remembers I used to be all over that series a decade ago. Every game after 13 was just miserable. I'm about to play FFVII:R but I don't have any expectations for it.

All of them since I don't game on consoles anymore.

Mario, Zelda and DKC are the big ones.

Of that list only Mario. Used to play the Karts, Sports games, and Partys a lot, now i play pretty much none of em. If you include Smash i suppose it might DQ it but i personally dont consider that a Mario game specifically.

Still play Zelda often enough. OoT gets at least one yearly playthrough since the 3DS version came out, and ive replayed MM recently. it has been awhile since i played TP which is my favorite though.

Final Fantasy remains my favorite series even if modern entries have fallen off. Barring XI i replay one of VII-XII annually also. Sometimes multiple of em.

So long as they dont change the formula for the sake of change ill pick up every gen of Pokemon as i always have.

Recently got my first Madden game so i play that more than childhood, tried DQ XI for my first game in the series and confirmed that the series isnt for me, and i never liked the rest of the list.

Mario, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Sonic I played more of as an adult since I didn't have the systems they're on prior to that.

The others listed I never got into.

The series I use to play as a kid: Commander Keen, Duke Nukem, Doom, Heretic/Hexen, Descent, 7th Guest/11th Hour

This was along the lines I was thinking of. Even a humble bundle offering of them wasn't a sway.

Sonic, unfortunately.

I still love platformers, but it seems like we only get one really good Sonic game every 10 years or so

3D Mario doesn't do much for me anymore. Hardly cared for Odyssey (although it had great high points).

I loved Star Fox as a teenager, but it's way too cheesy for me now.
