Don't ever watch Advent Children for the plot; watch it for the anime guys swinging big swords around at each other. I mean, sure, the plot is borderline incomprehensible, but it does feel like at least one person involved in the production had some aspirations towards art over marketing. It's just kind of failing to be what it's trying to be.
