This, mostly. There's nothing wrong with having body/genital preferences in a partner, but outright avoiding trans people as some sort of monolithic category is obviously something rooted in bigotry.

Isn't it funny how it's inclusive when the standards apply to them, but not when other people adopt those same standards? It's almost like the crazies are just hypocrites. Going by the two most known/broad categories of the trans community without getting into the people who fall into different subsets of these two... I'm not transphobic for not wanting to date a biological male who identifies as female. That's just basic attraction at the end of the day. You can't control if you're simply attracted to biological women.

If we're talking post op... it's rare but I've seen some very convincing post op people. But it's still someone who was born what they were born and having an operation or taking hormones won't alter your bone structure. There are distinct differences between the bodies of men and women that are difficult to mask. The supermodel convincing post ops you see are extremely rare

Also I personally made a topic with a poll to solve that and 92% of the votes said it was not transphobic to refuse to date trans.

There is just an overwhelmingly loud minority there that will debate you till you die, Cyricz, Gunplagirl, Hockeybub and like one or two more.

transphobic doesnt mean youre a bigot, but if you are repulsed by the idea of being with any trans person simply because they are trans, then thats an obviously case of someone being transphobic

Oh, yes, but it seemed they were using homophobic in the colloquial sense rather than the "men are generally not programmed to desire other men"; homophobia in 99.9*% of cases is always used in the sense of someone being opposed to homosexuality.

I disagree. As a gay guy, I wouldn't call that homophobia. I also wouldn't consider myself to be heterophobic or gynophobic just because I don't want to date women...

i think that it as least partially does

its not the same kind of phobic fear that some people have of life threatening things, but its clearly something in a lot of people that just makes them angry and and want to try to marginalize and do harm to lgbt+ people
