"Corrupt union" only makes sense if they don't have the full interests in the workers in mind. A union that will do its best for its employees is no worse than a company that will do its best for its shareholders.

Thats more of an issue that both the union and the workers are corrupt. If the workers werent corrupt then it would be the same as any other union.

Even if they dont have the full interests of workers in mind, and only occasionally help workers out, thats better than the typical scenario where there is no union and workers are never helped out
