think i got some of the naruto games (2 of them) plus 1 other.

Gamestop sells used and opened trash as new. They deserve all the hate they get.

the only crappy part in buying from gamestop is the lack of game case.
at least with the artwork it doesn't have to be complete.

That only happens with older games online. For modern games they simply give us a new case and artwork as both are still in active production and easy to replace. Like pretty much no one got disc or cartridge only for gravity rush remastered or xenoblade 2. Is only a gamble if its old is my point.

It's not only for older games or used games. Tons of people have been posting on deal sites the past 2-3 weeks on how their games listed as BRAND NEW are coming in empty cases or just the cart and other weird shit.

After the whole GME shit, it comes off as even more egregious than before that they're still pulling this shit.

This is pretty well known stuff. I'm not gonna go looking for all the instances of people mentioning this since Slickdeals is impossible to search.

But here's a comment from one of the threads I posted in. There was another for some guy getting Mario Maker in a sleeve that I can't find.

Dude its GameStop. I have it happen anytime I do these used game deals. Ill either get sleeve or generic GameStop case. About 40% of the time its the original case and artwork

That said it doesnt stop me from diving in because I dont care that much about the aesthetic, and I can always buy cases

Last time I bought a game at gamestop they gave me a cartridge in a case without cover art and if I hadn't noticed at the cash register and asked about they would not have told me that such was the case.

It was perfectly normal and reasonable for them to have me hand the display copy from the shelf up to the register, have them go find a copy without display and bag it for me and not mention it.

Literally a cancerous Hitler-shaped company.

It's a good buy for a buck honestly. The game is over hated. Buggy at launch but perfectly serviceable after the many patches. And if nothing else, it's a spare case to use for something else.

Yes. you'd have to price match it to the website prices though. I did it last time with the buy 2 get 1 free deals for Black Friday.

Wolfenstein The New Order w/ The Old Blood
Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning (Free)

The only one of the games I've played is Gears 1 on 360

wound up costing $59.47

though I redeemed some cash rewards on a card so I basically got all these games for $.80

Um, no. It happens all the time and started about 5 years ago. It's happened to me several times, I posted a comment about a guy getting 3 of his new games like that and just searching on Google by "last month" has both of these show up with tons of people posting their own experiences.

Scummy practice, never sat right with me when I worked there in college, but ultimately irrelevant to the topic at hand since this is a used game sale.
