How many people care or even think that much about their middle name? I had to be known by one of my middle names in an office where I once worked, because it was apparently too confusing for other people if two guys had the same first name. Every time someone called me by my middle name it felt weird, like I was using a fake identity.

I wasn't given a middle name so I could use my maiden name as my middle name if I wished. My first name is so short people always ask me if it is short for something then they come up with extended versions of it.
