I've known a lot of people under similar condition, though they lived in special capacity with assistance, unlike Chris' parents who kept trying to force him into normal conditions even though people were always gonna shit on him regardless of context. But they tend to always view things in ways that I might consider a bit outlandish or inefficient, the same way they might view what my thought process is as equally inefficient. It's just difficult to come to an understanding when your minds are geared in such different ways But yeah I feel like despite his condition, he was doing alright til he started getting cyberbullied. Let's face it, without such a significant focus on her over the years, Chris-chan wouldn't have been this fucked up. While I find it hard to sympathize with her actions, I feel bad for the life she's led. We talk about how we have high-functioning autistic people, your computer coders and encentric creatives, but there are low-functioning autistic people and I would argue that that's where Chris-Chan falls. She was behaving shittily before, but she also came from a low-income family in a low-income environment, and she was first targeted after an internet user recounted their tales about encountering Chris-Chan in university. Yeah, her weird dating shit was allowed to air unaided, but A) that behavior wasn't really remedied by support that aimed to address what she was doing, and B) that hardcore shit was only exacerbated by the internet's propensity to troll people like her for a laugh. The girlfriend-free girl stuff? The fucked up way she treated women who befriended him? Shit's fucked up of course. But Chris-chan never got the help or support she needed, and her condition was further exacerbated by the trolling she received over the course of 20 years. So yeah, I think her behaviour has been fucked up, but I think her life has been ruined by all of this "christorian" shit. Circumstances and targeted harassment has brought her to where she is today, and while I would struggle to condone anything she's done for the past 15 years, it ultimately comes down to whether she might have gotten better due to both her circumstances and the attention internet infamy brought to her.
