I see it all the time. Women get together with sleazy dudes with a felony and a baby momma. They reproduce with this guy thinking he's going to be there for her and the baby. He leaves her, just like he left his previous baby momma. The nice guy who the woman put in the friendzone would have stayed.

Because the assholes or "assholes" have confidence and are perceived as being more interesting than the "nice guys".

These "nice guys" the internet loves to sympathize with are usually guys who think that being generically nice will prompt fate to hand them a woman like it's a fairy tale or something.

At a base level yes, but obviously there are a lot of factors on top of it. But assuming you aren't some perfectly egalitarian polysexual, you likely have a number of physical factors that form your baseline for attraction. So acting shocked that people choose to be with attractive people who have bad personalities always comes across as disingenuous to me. Because it's very likely you would pass up someone with a great personality who isn't physically attractive to you.

Stop dating women you want approval from.

Dont manipulate women. Being nice doesnt work if your actions dont match your words.

Date someone who likes you for who you are, dont jump ship when the slightest thing goes wrong, and stick it out for a few dates. You wont fall in love at first sight. It takes time. Stop following dumb romance movies that need to fit an entire relationship into 1 1/2 hours. That is t real.

Its always weird people frame this as a negative. Since like, thats the expectation of women. They just sit and let suitors come to them.

Its ironic that the mantra of respecting women and not being overly aggressive is a contributing factor in why nice guys dont pursue hard enough. And women are obviously conditioned to not pursue.

Its all so interesting.

Because soft guys are excessively considerate they just don't make moves fast enough, and when they finally do it's not done smoothly.

This is more common nowadays because of the ways guys are taught to act. The ones who listen fall behind the ones who do their own thing.

They do. This fallacy comes from men who view themselves as nice and dont get the partner they fantasize about but cant admit anyone is better than them so blame it on the woman liking assholes.

The reality is women like nice men who are also interesting and confident. They dont like pushovers with attachment issues.
