God of War is pretty easily better. Much more engaging combat, way better story, not as repetitive overall, awesome pacing.

God of War hit me more as a standout game in almost every way, while Tsushima is a very good riff on Assassin's Creed. But it's a matter of taste and you can't go wrong either way.

Ghost of Tsushima is a really really good open-world game. It is Assassin's Creed done right.

God of War is phenomenal, has the better plot, characters and one of my favourite boss fights in a video game.
Ghost of Tsushima is weaker plot-wise and has less memorable characters (bar a couple), but is still excellent and the combat is soooo good and does a really exceptional job of making you feel like an absolute badass when you manage to ace a combat encounter. --- Still the number one reason for the success of the Internet.
