Then humanity capture one of its brethren and enslave it and torture it, using it as a tool for transportation. We are shown that the Robots are linked with each other and can experience what other Robots experience. Is it weird SAR got aggressive against humanity? Nope.

The fact that most of the Robots quickly learn empathy if treated decently further indicate how cruel the alien race which created them must be since the Robots natural state is aggressivness.
