The Texas woman was found dead with a single gunshot wound to her head just 2 days after she signed a $250,000 LIFE INSURANCE POLICY!!. Collins went to "great lengths" to convince investigators that a black male suspect broke into their houston home!! The bullet was fired from a .22 or .25 caliber firearm as collins told cops his wife bought a .9mm pistol but added he didn't have the ammo but police later found a .22 mm cartridge inside Collins pocket A cloth bag that was placed over her head determined to have been put there after her death according to autopsy A neighbor reported hearing an argument at the home the same day her body was found 4 dogs were also found unharmed in their backyard Collins called the county sherif's hoffice to request a welfare check on his wife. He called a non-emergency hotline at 3:15pm claiming he got a text about someone breaking into their home as he worked out at a gym nearby and got something ot eat The caller said he lost contact with his wife shortly after a suspicous "black" male was near their residence. Police went over and discovered her dead body Documents showed Colins "paused" momentarily in the doorway and dropped his bags and ran into the living room where her body was found lying on the floor with visible blood on her shirt and "acted" in shock. There were no signs of forced entry and observed the backdoor was unlocked with the dogs out back When asked by officers why he didn't check their home surveillance cameras, he said there was no recording and only picked up a live feed He is now held on 150,000 bond and is expected to make his first court apperance.
