I decided to replay this game for the first time in ages and I think part of the reason I hadnt played in so long was because I kept thinking it was like way too big of a game and that it would be overwhelming.

But, its definitely not According to my save file, it took me about twenty hours (give or take, because I definitely abused the hell out of Wii Us suspend feature lol).

Still a great game, IMO. There are definitely some wonky platforming sections, and some of the minigames are still infuriating (fuck Beaver Bother) but overall, I had a blast revisiting it.

Exactly lol. The Kong switching wasnt even that bad. Theres plenty of tag barrels.

I never got the 'overwhelming' complaint with this game and Banjo Tooie. They were bigger than Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie but still really fun. And yes fuck Beaver Bother and fuck Creepy Castle for having two of them back to back

Dude. I got seriously pissed the other day at that lmao. I did the one and I was like ok well at least thats over with and then when there was another I was like oh you have got to be kidding me

Never been able to get into DK games. Like any of them. Got boring after a few minutes.

Ogre Battle 64 was pretty great. Now that I think about it, I didn't play that many N64 games despite owning one. Wayne Gretzky's 3D hockey, Mario 64, Star Fox, and Ogre Battle 64 was about it (that I remember).

I like DK64 a lot, but it's mostly nostalgia. Objectively it's not really a great game, but I like it.

It's often really dark (visually), and that combined with some scary parts kept me from finishing it when I was younger.

It's a decent game. I think the main problem with it for me is the repeated barrels get boring/annoying pretty fast.

Like I said, I did abuse the hell out of Wii Us restore point feature so add a few hours.

I'm really surprised by how familiar I am with some of these games. The last time I replayed SM64, I flew through the whole thing in under 5 hours without really trying, simply because I had pretty much the whole game memorized despite not having played it in many years.
