I honestly do like current bad guy Roman Reigns. They've done a good job of making him appear as a strong Heel, even though he has his lackeys that help him, he can believably beat anyone, still. The typical WWE Heel almost invariably comes across weak, unable to win without cheating or interference, having an actual strong Heel champion is refreshing.

It is unfortunate that it is probably the only good thing going on in that company right now.

Sasha Banks is the best female wrestler to lace up a pair of boots period. She's had at least multiple 4 star matches with the other three horsewomen, MotY contender with Bianca at Wrestlemania this year, classics against Ronda Rousey and Asuka. Not to mention, the best women's wrestling match against Bayley at TakeOver. Hell she gave Carmella the best match of her career.

Only reason she isn't just behind the Tribal Chief this year, is that she hasn't wrestled as much but when she did, holy hell were the matches good.

And all the AEW fans who are dismissing Roman's current run is just being ignorant or blindly judgmental of WWE and whatever they do.

His matches have been consistently ranging from great to all-time classics and he has come a long long long way from the sufferin' succotashes and the magic beanstalk promos.

AEW overall has been better than WWE this year, especially in their booking and creating new stars but WWE despite sucking hard with the lower and midcard and their disgusting numerous releases of their talent, have delivered in the main event scene and PPVs.

oh, I didn't notice he said best to lace up a pair of boots. yeah that's ignoring the great era of joshi for sure. and also i'd say Asuka and Io are both clearly on her level or better but almost never get the chance to show it. By performances of the past few years I don't think anyone touches Sasha

Yeah but that's the thing here. Anyone can subjectively be the best wrestler but Nakamura and Cesaro are being booked like jokes so currently they are not. I literally switch to another channel when Nakamura comes on these days because his pairing with Rick Boogs is just so fucking cringe. Love the guy and would love to see him used better creatively but his current ventures don't do it for me.

Being the best pro wrestler is a marriage of star power, in-ring abilites, promo work and presence not just excelling in one category. Roman has delivered in all four with his tribal chef Reign.

Edit: Also same goes for Sasha except she might not be as strong in promo as Roman. But to be fair other than Becky and Britt Baker, no women's wrestler is that strong in promos.

I voted for MJF from these options. His promo and character work has just been outstanding. I also thought he was always a good but not a great wrestler but he proved me wrong at Full Gear. His match with Darby is in my opinion, the match of night.

MJF has delivered on PPV every time out. I think people would think a lot higher of him if he hadn't taken a break from workrate matches to feud with Jericho for most of a year, but his matches with Jungle Boy and Moxley were great and as soon as he finished the Jericho feud he's right back to excellent in ring work

That's the thing about opinions.

I think Bryan's matches from AEW that has been on the same level as the Roman matches I mentioned, is only Bryan/Omega. That is not on Bryan though because it was the only main event level match that he's had other than maybe Kingston. I fully expect Bryan/Hangman to be one of the best matches of the year if not outright Match of the Year, that is if we even get it this year.

...but seriously roman/drew mcintyre is an all time classic? in ten years you're gonna pull out the survivor series 2020 tapes? i think you're kidding yourself a little here.

Yeah. It is. It is as good as a heavyweight bout ever gets. It was a collision of two of the biggest stars in the company at the time. Insane athleticism from Drew, perfect heelwork from Roman. Great match where two juggernauts were beating the hell out of each other and enduring the other's best shot. The only flaw I can think of is that the finish was controversial, but it was the right call because it didn't derail Roman's momentum and protected Drew with the finish.

Name me better heavyweight bouts than this.
