I see women at Smash events fairly often actually. They are mostly not competitive players though. Anyway it's unfortunate for ZeRo because it seems more like he was stupid and immature, blinded by his dick, and fucked up instead of being a malicious predator, but he made his bed, and now he has to lie in it. Speaking of this subject people like to act as if Nairo was completely innocent but he got a sex act performed on him by another player who was a minor, Captain Zack, and only protested to it AFTERWARDS not during.

I don't really know the whole story, but didn't he actually 100% do it?
If so he gets no sympathy from me.

I'm not big on the ProJared thing but did anyone lie about him?

I thought the big thing was that he was accused to sending his dick picks to underage fans and his defense was that he did but he didn't know they were underage?

And that he cheated on his wife but his defense was that he thought they were in a open relationship but yet continued when she told him to stop?

Which means the claims weren't a lie?

I thought the revelation of the ProJared drama was that both him and his wife where kinda smutty people. Not that the accusations were false?

Again I'm not sure. I didn't really follow it.

The takeaway from that guy's post is "everyone believes women instead of men." They bring up a more muddled case like ProJared as an anecdote to advocate against listening to women. That's what these dudes actually care about: making it so female accusers voices aren't taken seriously in the community.

IIRC, the most serious accusations were fabricated, he provided receipts and had actual legal counsel.
He did send dick pics, but not to underage people afaik.
The takeaway is that he should never have aired his personal life problems for all to see.

From what I remember Jared had a site that was meant to be 18+ and I think that minors went on the site? I don't remember if the last part is true.

With the cheating on wife thing they both decided to date other people while living together, but for some reason the wife got mad even though she was dating other people as well.

Jared had a great response video for the whole thing, but he took it down some time ago 'cause he doesn't want to be remebered for that.

Yeah the wife just brought it all to public and left out a lot of inconvenient details. The ones who have returned either had a very good reason or literally served time in jail and showed a change in behavior.

Dude asked for some inappropriate pics when he was 19. Guys like 27 now and there really hasn't been anything else of the matter besides that one time. I'm not gonna pretend to be outraged over something someone who was practically a kid did, so if he's shown remorse and growth over this past year, I don't see the big deal.

My take is that he's a good and entertains Smash player, and if he puts of stuff worth watching, I'll probably watch again.

i think if you made a mistake years ago, you can come back from it. only problem is that what zero did is not a small fuck up. you really can't fully come back from that. you're always going to have that stigma about you. best thing zero can do is leave the smash community and find a career in something else...he says he has other skills, why not use them. is zero a predator? we can't really trust him anymore, whether he's still that person anymore or not.

I love Melee, and playing Melee (don't give a shit about any of the other games), but I seriously despise the community (cept the 64 community, they're pretty chill), and I really hate top player fans. Most of the fanbase of Melee are annoying as shit and have zero respect for any competitor that isn't their favorite player. And for more relevance, the Brawl-Ultimate crowd has always been zoomer hell with the way they worship the ground their top players walk on, they're fanatical with their defense of anything terrible they do.

Yeah, this was the case in my high school days as well. A senior could date a freshman and it would be a non issue. No one cared so long as you were both in high school. But a 5 year age gap, would be the equivalent of senior dating an 8th grader. And that would definitely raise some eyebrows.

I know nothing about this guy beyond the screenshots in this topic though. But that said, regardless of his age, receiving sexual photos of a minor can get you charged with several different crimes. So I'm not surprised that he's in hot water (or is he? Some of the posts make it sound like he's already moved past this).

I was visiting some topics (sorted by new) on the unpopularopinion subreddit a few days ago and there was one topic that was talking crap about an old known pro lgbt advocate that dated a 16 year old boy when he was 34. There were a lot of defenders in that thread that constantly brought up the age of consent. Imo even if it is legal it's still weird af.
